I got back to my senses and got up. Instead of going back to Parkinson Palace I considered going to the Malfoys instead, just as I was about to ring the bell to the entrance of the Manor, I froze. "No" I thought to myself. I shall not. A lady does not spontaneously knocks on his boyfriend's family abode to confide all her woes to him.I retreated and decided to march back to my own. I have no galleons on my pockets meaning I have nothing to pay for a carriage so I must walk down a couple of alleys, road, pavements and streets with my aching fragile legs to get back to the Palace. Terrific isn't it?
I got back to the Parkinson Palace in one piece and leaned on one of the pillars outside. Once I catched my breath I went behind the Palace. Entering the front door would be to much of a prospect to seeing my parents and I can't take that risk. So that leaves me with no other option but to sneak on my window. I whispered wingardium leviosa and flicked my wand to make myself float and swiftly entered my own bedroom.
I took off the shoes on my tired feet and layed on the bed. My parents has probably not have heard of my arrival since they are too busy bickering. I looked at my golden clock on my nightstand ticking, it was almost 12 midnight. Not even bothering to take off my corset, coat, nor hat I fell into a deep slumber.
I heard a knock on my door causing me to wake up. I got on my feet and opened the door.
"Goodmorning Miss Parkinson. I have come to bring you your breakfast. Your parents regarded that in all likelihood you are too tired to grab a bite down yourself so they sent me to send it to you." Gilbertine said with a welcoming smile on her face. "They also sent me to give you something of importance concerning the upcoming ball to be held here in the Palace later today."
"A ball?" I squealed with glee.
"Oh I just know how you adore dancing, so tonight I will fetch you some jewelries to lavish more of your gown that looks more expensive than the Palace itself." She smirked at me.
"Oh how exciting!" I laughed with her considering its been so long since we saw eachother. Just like Mr. Murphy, Gilbertine has served us for a couple of loyal years. She was only fourteen when she started her first job here at the Palace.
She gently closed the door and left me. I sat on my bed where she placed the food tray at. It was an average english breakfast nothing special. I ate the food and took a sip from my tea. Earl grey, my favourite.
I stood up holding my tea and caressed the white box that was laid on top of my dresser.
I opened the box and at first, it was just a pool of black shredded paper. I swayed the shredded papers away with one hand revealing a gorgeous Emerald Green gown with black lacey frills. It looks astounding! How posh really.
I took hot bath and changed into my longsleeved black dress that was handmade by a famous noble designer here in the wizarding world. Did I mention it was limited edition? I tell that to almost everyone.
Every year the Parkinsons hold a special gathering exclusive only to the Pure-bloods here in the Palace. I always enjoy it, the view of gowns, fancy tables, people dancing, and delicious delicasies all laid in the buffet is heaven to me.
While I roamed the palace, I danced and swayed in the ballroom rehearsing how I will dance. The clock striked 5 in evening telling me it's time to get ready.
I rushed to my room and took another shower. I have to make sure that I look fresh and clean. I put on the gown that my parents gave me and paired it with some stilletos and some green satin gloves.
I heard Gilbertine knocking and I quickly opened the door.
"Oh my, Miss Parkinson you look ravishing, how magnificent!"
"When did I not?"
She giggled and sat me down in front of my vanity and started to do my hair.
"Will the Malfoys join us this evening?" I asked.
"Miss Parkinson when did the Malfoys not attend the yearly Party? As far as I know it was never written in history. Merlin! The Parkinsons and the Malfoys have been affiliated for so many years!"
She always know how to ease my growing concern. I worry that Draco won't see me in this stunning dress.
"Voila! You look exquisite Miss Parkinson! You will surely attract the eyes of many!" She said once she finished my hair.
"Gilbertine, you know I only want two grey orbs to look at me right?"
"Seriously? Him still? Sweet salazar your devotion amazes me. It's been years!"
"Well he does fancy me back."
"Wait, is your parents aware of this Miss Parkinson?"
"The news has still yet to land on their ears but surely enough I'll tell them someday... or I will let them figure it out."
"Oh you cheeky girl!"
We both giggled until a knock came to the door.
"I'm afraid I'll have to take my leave."
I dismissed her and let my parents in.
"Hello Dear, oh you look wonderful! But not enough to get you betrothed to a wealthy pureblood wizard." My mother commented on my appearance.
The smile on my face faded and turned into an expression of annoyance. She added more bits and bobs to my hair as if it isn't heavy enough. In the end it looked lovely but it bloody weighs. But again beauty is pain.
The moment I walked out of my room there are suprisingly alot of people already there. The orchestra started playing music while I wandered aroung the walls looking for someone. Eventually I got tired and leaned on a wall.
"You're too entrancing to be a wall flower don't you think?" My lover asked offering his hand.
I gladly took it and he twirled me across the whole room. My gloomy irritated face became noticeable.
"Alright darling? Is there something that worries you? Do tell my love."
His romantic endearments never fail to make me smile.
"Well just the usual. My mother said I don't look good enough to get betrothed to a rich pureblooded wizard." I responded.
"She must be blind then, anyone with a sight can see how splendid you look tonight."
We both giggled from his charming remarks.
"How about we prove her wrong tonight? What do you say?"
"How?" I asked curiously.
"Marry me."
The whole world stopped for a second. My brain has failed to decipher what he said. Did those words really come out of his mouth?
"You never fail to amuse me Mr. Malfoy."
"Crazy right?" He chuckled.
"But what's more crazier is I would say yes."
He looked at me with awe. He picked me up at spun me around. Normally this would get the attention of others but noone seems to notice since it was part of the dance meaning I'm not the only one in the air right now. We carried on with dancing and the talk continued.
"So are we engaged now?" I asked.
"Maybe."
I hit his arm playfully bringing us to laughter.
"Miss Pansy Parkinson, I can't wait to put a diamond ring on your bare left ring finger. I can't wait to ask for your fathers blessing and when I ask to have your hand from your parents and might I tell you I'm not taking a no from them."
I couldn't stop giggling from every word he says.
"And when I take you out of this horrid, sugarcoated palace and take you to a real castle where you'll live as my queen, and when you walk down the aisle, and when you say 'I do', and when I can finally call you..." He looked at me with such passion evident on his eyes.
"Mrs. Malfoy."
