Episode five

Ayano pov:
I walked in the room and heard the shower running. Guess I can prepare my clothes while I wait for Kanon to get out. Then I heard a knock at the door. "Come in!" I shout. The door opens and it's Kazuma. "What exactly do you guys want me to order?" he asks. "Hmm I'm not really sure. What do you want to eat?" I ask. "I guess pizza, if you want" he replies. "That's sounds good" I say with a soft smile. "Alright."he says. "Yes! Pizza sounds good!" Kanon says coming out of the bathroom with her hair wrapped in a towel and cute blue pjs. "The bathroom is free by the way" she adds. "Okay thank you" I say. Kanon pauses for a moment and glances at me, then at Kazuma. After a few seconds of silence she says, " I think I'm going to step outside for some fresh air..." She then runs out of the room giggling. I sit there,holding my clothes, confused. I glance towards Kazuma who walks over and sits right next to me. "Well that was weird.." I finally say. "Nah, thats just Kanon" Kazuma says. It was silent for a few minutes until I finally said, "Okay well I need to go shower , so you take care of ordering the food." As I tried to get up, I realized that Kazuma's hand was on top of mine. I blushed at the sight and remembered about the time on the ferris wheel. "Aren't you going to go shower?"kazuma said and I was brought back to reality. "Huh? Oh yeah...but umm Kazuma can you please move your hand?" I reply. He looks down and says, "Oops sorry".  He moves his hand and I scurry to the bathroom feeling flushed and embarrassed. After calming myself down, I put my things down and step into the bath.
Kazuma pov:
I sat there for a while, staring at the bathroom. I knew my hand was on top of her's, but I didn't want to move it. It felt kind of nice. Plus I knew she would react that way and I love to tease her. I finally got up, walked out of the room, and into my room. I should shower too. I walked over to my bag and started looking for clothes. When I finally found some, I went into the bathroom and started up the shower. I got undressed and stepped in. The water was nice and warm. I felt it touch my skin and felt relaxed. Then my peace was interrupted by a scream, followed by, "THE WATER IS SO COLD!" I laughed. Guess I forgot Ayano was showering, oh well.
Ayano pov:
I quickly finished my shower and changed. Who the hell is showering and taking up all the hot water? I went out of the room and it was all silent. The only thing I could hear was a shower running and it was coming from Kazuma's room. Without thinking I stormed into his room and started knocking at his bathroom door. "Kazuma!" I yelled. "What is it?" he replied. "Why the hell are you taking up all the hot water?! I had to cut my shower short because of you!" I yell so loud I didn't even here the water shut off. The door suddenly opens and I'm greeted with a wet(already annoyed) Kazuma. I try and ignore the fact that he's practically naked,only covering his lower half with a towel, and continue with my ranting. But all that could come out was, "Why did you take up all the hot water?". I could feel my cheeks getting red and so I looked to the side. I was suddenly pushed up against some wall and Kazuma was pinning me against it. I'm already feeling all flustered so i can't manage to say anything. All I do is stare into his eyes, but I can't read him. He leans towards my ear and says, " I like having hot showers,princess" I finally shove him away from me and walk towards the door. "Yeah well everyone does, jerk!" I say and I storm out of the room. I make it back to my room and shut the door. What the hell was that? I mean I know he likes to tease me, but never like that! It was a little scary and he's was like really rough but like the situation felt hot at the same time?! Ughh what am I thinking?!?! He's a jerk and a stupid perv!

Still Ayano pov:
The food finally arrives and I sit down, excited to eat. I almost forgot about the whole incident until Kazuma walked in an sat down right next to me. I felt my body tense up. Was I scared? No no I just felt uncomfortable that's all. I tried to ignore him and decided to talk to Kanon instead. I asked her how her school life was and she talked to me about it while Ren and Tatsuya were talking about something else. Kazuma was the only one quiet, just eating his food. I was so caught up in my conversation with Kanon I didn't even notice Kazuma get up, not until he tapped on my shoulder and signaled for me to follow him. I excused myself and followed him out into the hall. "What is it?" I finally say. "Something's not right..." he says as he leans against the wall. "What do you mean, do you sense something?" I say a bit worried. "I don't sense a presence, but the winds stopped out of nowhere...everything is quite out there." he replies. Suddenly I felt the temperature drop and a knock was heard at the door. Everyone went quite. Finally I walked over to the door and slowly opened it. I was greeted by a small fragile looking old woman. "Hello there young lady I seemed to have lost my way home and I am very thirsty, can I come in for a glass of water?" the old lady said. I wanted to help her, but something didn't feel right. Suddenly Kazuma shoved me out of the way and quickly shut the door making sure to lock it. "Kazuma shouldn't we help her?" Kanon asked. "She's no- " Kazuma was about answer but the door was pushed open by some strong force sending both me and Kazuma flying before hitting a nearby wall. I hit the wall hard and let out a little scream in pain before my body fell back to the ground. I looked back up only to see a horrific creature that had long legs and arms with the old woman's head staring back at me. Its face had the features of an old woman but her mouth was large with sharp fangs and a tongue of a snake. It finally said, " It's rude to slam the door in someone's face you know". It started to head towards Kazuma who was trapped to the ground by our former door. I quickly summoned Enriha and called for the creature's attention so that I could by Kazuma some time to get back on his feet. It quickly turned his head in my direction and swung its long arm at me. I jumped and dodged its attack. I fired some flames at it and it screamed in agony backing away. I turned in Rens direction to see if him and his friends were okay. He was helping Kanon up until his head quickly jolted up in my direction. "Ayano watch ou-" Suddenly I was grabbed by my neck and was being choked by the creature. "You're not supposed to attack the elderly!" it said. I clenched Enriha and tried to lift my arm and hit it to be freed, but I couldn't. I just couldn't breathe.
Kazuma pov:
I finally managed to get up and saw that Ayano was being choked by the thing. I can't let it do that! I sent high speed winds towards its face and it finally let go of Ayano and her body fell to the ground. I ran to her and help her up. While it was blinded I escorted everyone out the house and onto the beach. "What are we doing our stuff is in there" Ayano said. "I know but we don't want it wrecking anymore of the place now do we" I said and everyone nodded in agreement. Finally the thing came from out of the house. It was weak. If the contract king entrusted me with his powers again, I could easily kill it. I turned to Ayano and she looked back at me. "Wha-what is it?" she says. "Listen I need you to buy me some time" I reply. "What! More time?" She whines. "Come on Ayano. There's no time to act like a baby" I say. She makes that stupid mad face where her cheeks puff up. It's actually a little cute if I'm being honest. "Fine"she finally says. "Thank you, Ayano" I say and I pull her into a hug. She pulls away and says, "Just don't take long".  Then she charges at the thing. "You can do this, Ayano" I mutter to myself.
