New feelings

Episode eight

Flashback:
"You have my full trust as well Ayano"
Present time, Ayano pov:
"You ok,Ayano?" Ren asked and I was brought back to reality. "Huh! Oh yeah, Ren I'm fine" I finally say and I force a smile. "You sure?" He says with a concerned expression. "Yeah, Ren I was just lost in thought" I say, hopefully reassuring him. He nods and Kazuma walks up to us. "Well, I informed Master Jūgo about what happened last night" Kazuma says. I quickly panic, thinking about what happened between us. "Wait about what?!" I quickly say. They both look at me, confused. "Umm about the whole weird creature, Ayano" Ren finally says with a smile. I feel my cheeks get redder than they were already. "Ohhhh ye-yeah, guess I'm really tired...hehe" I say embarrassed. "You sure you're okay, Ayano? You're acting really weird today" Ren says. "Yeah... of course I am, don't worry" I say in the calmest way possible. They both stare at me for a while until Ren finally turns to Kazuma and asks, " So what did Master Jūgo say?" Kazuma didn't reply right away, instead he just studies me. I awkwardly look off to the side, pretending not to notice. "He booked us rooms at a better hotel nearby, he wanted to investigate the matter, but I told him not to." I hear Kazuma finally say. "Huh? How come?" I ask still a bit flustered. "Well I don't think there's much to investigate that's why" Kazuma says. "Ren!" We hear Kanon yell from a distance. "Um I should go see what they need, please excuse me." Ren says and he walks towards his friends, leaving me and Kazuma alone. I glance at him and see that he's just staring at Ren. Finally he says, "I'm worried for him". "Huh? Why are you worried for him?" I say. "I don't know he just seems...off" Kazuma replies. Hmmm...Come to think of it he does seem a little off, like the night before we left for the beach house. My thoughts were interrupted by Kazuma placing his hand on my forehead. "You seem off too, Ayano. You feeling sick or something?" He says sounding genuinely concerned. I feel my cheeks get a little red and I quickly smack his hand away and say, "Uh yeah I feel totally fine". "If you say so" he shrugs and starts to walk away. I finally get the courage to say, "Kazuma!", he stops and turns my direction, "about last night..." "What about it" he asks. "I-um...nothing..never mind." I say. He then turns and walks away, while I just stare at him. I want to talk to him, I really do...it's just I'm a bit nervous.

Kazuma pov:
I was thinking about last night...what the hell was I doing? I never really act like that with her only like very few times. Even then she hasn't acted so weird like she's doing right now. Maybe she's sick? I mean what if her body was put under a lot of stress last night and now she's sick because of it. Crap that wouldn't be good, she wouldn't able to enjoy the trip. "Hey Kazuma," Kanon said, bringing back to reality, "are you coming?" I look up and see that everyone is looking at me. Ayano(ahead of all of us) had an impatient look on her face. "Yeah sorry, let's go" I finally say. As we continue to walk to the hotel, I pick up my pace so that I can catch up to Ayano. I finally catch up to her and continue to walk beside her. She didn't say a thing, she just looked straight ahead. What the hell is wrong with her? I turn to check on Ren and his friends and they weren't really paying any attention to us. They were all just caught up in their conversation. I then turn back to Ayano and she's still paying no attention to me, so I decided to lean in close to her and bite her ear. "Aaa-ow! Wha-why'd you do that!?" She says practically yelling. "Because why not" I reply with a smirk. At this point, everyone else had caught up to us. "Hey, why'd we stop?" Kanon asked. "Yeah Ayano, why did we stop" I say amused. She shoots me an annoyed look and then finally says, "Sorry, I just got a pebble in my shoe and I had to take it out, but let's continue". We all do as she says and we eventually arrive to the hotel. It was a lot nicer than that crappy motel and on top of that we all got our own room.
We all went to put our stuff in our separate rooms then we met up again in Ayano's room to eat together.

"Hey do you guys want to watch a movie?" Kanon asked. "Yeah, I'd like too" Ayano said and the rest of us just nodded in agreement. "Yay! Ren you can sit next to me!" Kanon said excitedly. "What no! Ren's sitting next to me" Tatsuya argued. "No he wants to sit next to me!" Kanon said more aggressively. "Hey guys why don't I sit in the middle between you two that way you're both next to me" Ren suggested and they agreed. I sat next to Ayano and we started the movie. 20 minutes into the movie I got bored, so I turned my body to face Ayano and started to play with her hair. She got startled by my sudden touch and I saw her cheeks turn a little red. God she's so cute. Her hair is so soft too and it smells nice too. That's one thing I adore about her, her lovely scent. Then I unconditionally lean in and place a kiss on her head. I don't know why I did it, but I don't really care. Plus.....it feels kind of.....nice.
