New feelings

Episode six

Ayano pov:
I charge at it full speed while Ren distracts it by sending flames its way. At the last second, it turns and swings at me, but I jump to avoid its attack. As I'm in the air, I swing Enriha at it and slice its arm causing it to scream in agony. I land on the sand and quickly glance over to Kazuma to see if he's ready, but he's not. He really likes to take his time, doesn't he. I turn back and shoot more flames it's way, but it dodges all of them. "Tch" I say. I gathered all my strength and swung Enriha downward, sending a streak of flames it's way. This time it couldn't dodge the attack. The flames hit it and it screamed in pain. I was out of breath already. Then Kazuma appeared behind me. "Kazuma..." I say in a tired voice. "You did good Ayano" he says and I let my body fall back into his arms. "I just need you to help me finish it off" he adds. He grabs my hands and guides them to the right position where I can directly hit it. With our combined powers we quickly finish it off.

Still Ayano pov:
"Yay you did it guys!" Kanon says. "Yeah you guys were great" Tatsuya adds. "Although we might need to find a new place to stay...hehe" Ren says. "Ahehe I think you're right..." I say. I look behind me and see Kazuma laying on the floor, exhausted. I walk over and sit down beside him. "You sure take your time to prepare your attack" I say looking down at him with a soft smile. "Yeah...or maybe I just like to give you a challenge." He says. I let out a soft chuckle and look over to see what Ren and his friends are up too. To my surprise they're getting all our stuff out of the destroyed beach house. Suddenly I feel a hand touch my face and I look down and it's Kazuma. I stare into his eyes and start to blush. I'd expect myself to quickly smack his hand away and call him a perv, but I didn't. All I could do was get lost in his eyes.
Kazuma pov:
I don't know why I did that...I just kind of wanted her to put her full attention on me. I know it sounds selfish, but that's what I felt. My thoughts were interrupted by Ayano removing my hand from her face and getting up. "I think we might have to find a new place to sleep tonight" she says with a flustered look on her face. "Yeah I think you're right..." I say as I try and sit up. "I think there's a motel nearby, I saw it on the way here" Kanon says approaching us. "Lead the way then" I say, finally back on my feet.

Still Kazuma pov:
We finally arrive to the motel and it is definitely not five stars, but it will do for tonight. We all walk in and I only get two rooms (that's all I could afford). I walk back to Ayano and everyone else with the keys in my hand. "You only got two rooms?" Ayano questions. "Yeah sorry, I didn't bring much with me..." I reply. "Oh no it's fine, let's just figure out the sleeping arrangements for tonight" she says. It's quiet for a few seconds and then I finally say, "Boys in one room, girls in the other room." "Okay, that sounds good" Ayano says with her usual smile. God I love that smile. I find myself staring at her as she turns back to explain to Ren and his friends what's going on. They start to walk back and I suddenly grab Ayano's hand. She turns back with a slight blush on her cheeks. "Ah-Um what is it?" She says. "Oh...I just wanted to say that um I'll call Master Jūgo tomorrow since I am too tired to do it tonight..." I say as I look down to our hands. She then snatches her hand away and says, "Oh um that sounds good, um goodnight!" She runs off in the direction of her room and I just kind of stand there. What was I thinking? I mean I wasn't really thinking, but why did I do that? I look at my hand and it feels cold somehow. I guess Ayano's touch was really warming. I snap out of my thoughts and walk to mine, Ren, and Tatsuya's room. Before entering, I look at Ayano's and Kanon's room, which is right in front of ours.
