Your shaky fist knocks on the door of the open room where Peter Parker stands, staring out the window. He jumps when he hears it, even though he's supposed to have a 'sixth sense', and turns around to face you. But, he eases up when he sees your face, his eyes red like he wants to cry, but he just couldn't bring himself to. You, on the other hand, wish you could stop crying. Ever since that awful day last week that you got the news that your dad, Tony Stark, had died, your crying had began and is yet to end. Especially on the day of his funeral, it has been even worse. You tried to stay strong for your little sister but she was just as much of a mess as you were, so you let yourself go. You're sure you looked like a mess, your eyes extremely puffy and the top of your black hoodie that you had thrown over your tight black dress probably had tear stains all over it, but you couldn't bring yourself the care. You couldn't even bring yourself to do your hair nicely, it just sat above your shoulders, naturally wavy as it always was.

"(Y/n), i'm so sorry—"

"Don't start apologizing, Peter. No ones fault but Thanos, that's the way I look at it," you say, Peter shirting his mouth as you step closer to him. "The whole world lost him, not just me."

Peter nods, swallowing thickly as you step forward to meet him face-to-face. His eyes avert down to the box in your hand, confused as to what exactly it was you were holding.

"Something my dad told me before he died, was that he wanted to give you this," you say, holding it up.

"What is it?" Peter asks, even more curious as to what Tony Stark thought he was worthy enough of having. You open the case, revealing your father's infamous glasses that he'd worn almost all the time.

"What? No, you've probably made a mistake—"

"He told me it's what he wanted, Peter. He even had it in his will," you say, Peter furrowing his eyebrows.

"Why would he give those to me? Why not you? Why not Morgan, or maybe even Pepper? It doesn't make sense."

"You're smart, Pete. He knew you'd appreciate it and know to use it for good. I've got all of his other things, this one thing he wanted to go to you. He's watching us do this right now, do him a favour and don't piss him off by refusing it," you say, Peter chuckling softly. He slowly grabs the case from your hands, taking a closer look at it.

"Her name is E.D.I.T.H. Stands for, 'even dead, i'm the hero'," you say, Peter smiling as his eyes meet yours again.

"(Y/n), I couldn't take these from you—"

"Did you not hear a word i just said? I'm just going to walk out so I can't hear you say no anymore," you say, leaning forward to kiss his cheek, Peter's heart racing as you walk back out of the room.
