"Taehyung?" I say as I enter the cafe. It's Saturday, and I'm working at a cafe with my best friend Taehyung to earn some extra money. Looking around, it seems as if he isn't here, but the back door was opened?
"Jimin? Hey! You are here early!" I hear Taehyung shout as he pops out from behind the counter.
"Yeah! I didn't have anything else to do at home, and I wanted to help you get ready with the cafe." I say. Our boss has been sick for a few days, so we have to manage everything ourselves. Taehyung is the one most under stress, because he is taking care of our boss, but also trying to keep the cafe under control, so I just had to help him somehow.
"That's so nice of you, Chim! You can start placing down the chairs." Tae says. I place my bag on the ground and start lifting the chairs off of the tables.
"So how is Jin doing?" I ask.
"Still sick. He is going to be sick for maybe another three days, so we have to manage the cafe ourselves for now," says Tae tiredly, but still full of energy, as always. "But, what did you do this whole week anyways?! You didn't answer my calls yesterday and It's summer! How cruel of you!" says Taehyung dramatically while placing a teapack on the counter. This kid.
"I didn't do anything interesting, expect," I sigh out loud. Should I tell him about the mirror? He would freak out, be excited and scream at the same time.
"Except?" I sigh again.
"I bought a mirror!"
"A what now? I don't think I heard you correctly."
"I bought a mirror, Tae!" I shout. I don't know why I am shouting. Maybe it's because he got what he wanted, me buying a mirror, that's always what he was nagging me about.
"So I heard you correct! A mirror?! Jimin, that is amazing!" Taehyung shouts happily while jumping up and down. "So, how is it?! Is it still weird like always?"
"Tae! It has been weird ever since I turned 21, and you know that! And to answer your question, yes, it's still weird as always." I answer shortly while placing the last chair on the ground. This boy asks too many questions sometimes, and most of them are just weird. I can't complain though, he is the cutest pie ever.
"Have you done anything with it? Like, trying to figure out why it's weird? I assume you bought it because of curiosity, and I know you're always curious!" Taehyung shouts from behind the counter now, where he is now sorting coffee.
"Yes Tae, It was out of curiosity. You always know that I have been trying to solve this mistery of a feeling for a long time, but I was always too scared," I say, "and no, I didn't do anything with the mirror yet, because I was too tired yesterday." I say.
It always scared me when I was around mirrors. That feeling. It made me believe I was dying or just sick, very weirdly sick. That was when I was younger, but I am older now.
"Well, we can talk about it later! We still have a cafe to manage," Tae says as he turns to smile at me, "And whatever it is, we are always here to solve any problem and mistery, me and Jin" He says while putting the last tea pack on the counter, posing at the end like a gucci model. A small smile forms on my lips as I look at him, and right before he opens the cafe, I whisper,
"Thank you, Tae."
