I woke up the next morning to the smell of herbs being burned and Sam laying on her yoga mat on the floor, twisted like a pretzel. Rubbing my eyes, I looked over at her and murmured my good-mornings.

"Isn't it a wonderful morning today!" She spread out her arms, lifted her chin and inhaled deeply and then let it out with a smile on her face, while her leg was still wrapped around her neck.

"Something like that" I sighed as I dragged myself out of bed and walked over to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"What happened last night by the way? I came back to find you knocked out early." She yelled at me from the other room, probably in the process of getting her second leg around her neck as well.

"It's a really long story actually." I sighed, spitting into the sink and rinsing.

"Well we have some time now, why don't you go ahead and tell? Common I love me some gossip" She laughed and i knew Sam almost too well, she was dying to know.

"Alright, fine but give me like two minutes." I smiled at myself in the mirror, checking my teeth and then joined Sam in the next room, where I found her sitting Indian style on my bed.

On the walk to my bed I came across the picture what Luke had given to me, sitting on my bed, and along instantly my eyes flickered over the picture. Sam followed my eyes and saw the picture, before i got to reach the picture first, Sam was already snatching it up and giving her best what a cutie! face.

"Start with this." She said smiling at me and flipping the picture around as I saw Luke's eyes lighting up once again after tricking me into a kiss.

I felt a smile cross my face, and before I rushed out the whole story: Daniel and Luke, Luke being Cody, Amber's bitchiness, the vampire side of me, my whole other life that I left behind without even thinking about it, about Daniela, about Klaire...

"That's Luke." I said without meeting her eyes and looking into the picture which I took out of her grip and held closely to my eyes, scanning the details, remembering the memory again and again.

"We're you too in looove." She winked at me and I laughed out right at her smooth romantic side.

"Something like that, we'll not making the story too long, He was my childhood friend and the first person I ever fell in love with. One day something happened and I thought that he was killed, but it was a lie, because I found him again in my school, the one before this."

"Oh wow, you must have freaked out!" She screamed as her eyes grew wide and her mouth gaping open.

"Well yea, I didn't believe it at first."

"i don't blame you!" She moved inching closer to me, like a child engrossed in a story during story time.

"Then there's Daniel. He's perfect, and he's the nicest guy anyone can ever meet, and I messed everything up with him." I said sadly looking into Sam's eyes, placing the picture of me and Luke back on my bed.

"Hopefully he'll forgive you, and then both of you can kiss and side of into the sunset and love happily ever after." She placed both hands on by cheeks and widened her eyes again like a small child and smiled an enormous grin as she dose of with her fairytale imagination.

"It's not that simple, there's more to the Daniel and Luke story." I said laughing at her and trying to make her stop jumping while she sits.

"Oooo! It's THEIR story, okay go!" I placed her head in her hands and stared at me, encouraging me to go on.

"I'm in love with both of them actually. Daniel is sweet and kind and normal and everything to keep me safe and secure, but Luke is different. He's daring, exciting and dangerous and it makes me feel exhilarated and i'm never bored or never expect the same things every day." I tell her getting on my knee's and jumping around in my bed, just to prove my point about how crazy Luke makes me feel.

I told her about everything that I'd been through with both Daniel and Luke, of course leaving out one of the most important part, me being a vampire.

"That's so romantic!" She melted across my bed and dramatically threw her hand to her forehead and fell backwards.

"And then there's Alec." I said slowly waiting for her reaction.

"Oh my god, he likes you so much Kat! He was actually looking for you today! I'd told him to come by later, thinking you'd be here, but anyways continue your story."

I felt my stomach get knotted and nervous, I didn't really want to face him, I didn't know what to think of any of this.

"I'll catch up with him later, but he's a great kid and a great person. I feel like I've known him all my life though, and the other day he practically told me he was in love with me, which freaked me out a tiny bit." I winced remembering how i'd run from him, i must have really hurt his feelings, I've got to remember to apologize later.

"Oh shit Kat! This is crazy! You have three guy's on your ass girl! You are one lucky chick-a." She said in her best Spanish accent, making me crack a smirk.

"Well not three anymore, Daniel and Luke left me here, That's why I was a few weeks late."

"They just left you here?" She said shocked.

"Yeah, without a goodbye, it was like they kicked me out of the car and drove off, It was honestly horrible." I said looking down at my lap and feeling Daniel's necklace laying on my skin.

"I really miss them, though Sam. I never had a chance to think about it, because you and Alec were so welcoming and nice to me when I arrived, so I sort of forgot about them, but yesterday Daniel's sister show's up, and gave me a package from both of them, the photo from Luke and my necklace from Daniel." I said looking down at my necklace and grasping it between my fingers.

Sam leaned her head in to get a good look at the necklace.

"It's beautiful!"

Then there was a quiet knock on the door, freaking both of us out.

"Who is it?" Called out Sam before I got the chance.

Then the knocking stopped as a folded paper was slipped under the door, and then we heard running.

As Sam quickly grabbed the note, I opened the door and looked out into the hallway, except there was no one there, of course.

I closed the door again, and when I turned around Sam's face was a big question mark so I stood over her to see the note.

Written in a red marker were the words "LIGHTS OUT KITTY."

I felt a cold chill run up my spine as I froze in place, and watched Sam turn around and ask me if I understood what it meant. When I told her I didn't have a clue, she said it was probably slipped under the wrong door, and that was the end of that conversation.

But I couldn't get the three words out of my head.

Just as I was about to let it go, another note was slipped under the door, and again my blood ran cold.

Sam hadn't even heard the note being slipped, So I walked over to the door and picked it up. Taking a deep breath, I unfolded it to find a message:

Meet me in front of your dorm, tonight at 11, I'll be waiting.

Alec. xo
