Solange's POV
I put the key in the lock & turned it. I turned on the lights & revealed my hair salon. I closed the door behind me & put my jacket on the couch. All of this is mine. I thought I was selfish for not accepting it but now I feel grateful. I know it was a gift from a drug dealer & not from god but this is my dream. I've always wanted to start my own business. Every since mother died, I promised her I would make a name for myself. Doing hair is my passion. It keeps me from breaking down whenever I think about my mother. If she was here, she would be proud of me but a little disappointed too.
"Its beautiful, huh?"
I turned around in shock "excuse me?"
"He really fixed it up" she looked at me in disgust "for you."
I frowned "who are you?"
"Diana Ross, michael's wife."
I put my hands on my hips & scoffed. He's married? I can't believe this shit. Let along let him lead me on like that.
"Wife? I didn't know he was married."
She walked towards me "nobody knew it for a long time. He kept me in the dark until one day the sun decided to shine."
"I never heard of you."
"I've heard of you" she pulled out a cigarette & lighting it up "i've heard a lot of things about you."
"Then you must know my name."
"Solange" she sat down in the hairdresser chair "graduate student, lives in the hood, & has no kids. A life I wish to have again."
"I see you've done some research."
"I always do my research before I throw fire at a peasant."
Oh no, this bitch didn't. No, let me stay calm. Be the biggest person now.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see how "my" salon looked now."
I gave her a confused look "your salon?"
"Yes, mines. Before you popped up, this use to be my salon. I was the baddest bitch on the block. My shit stayed packed but it didn't look like this bullshit here."
I can feel my blood boiling "well it belongs to me now. Too bad you didn't stick around long enough to see your "precious" salon one last time before it got destroyed."
She rolled her eyes "its not going to be your dream salon after while."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
She smirked & shook her head "oh, he chose a dumb one. Girl, you must forgot he's drug dealer."
"I'm aware of that."
"If your aware of it, then you'll know what I'm talking about stupid."
Okay, this bitch is starting to push my buttons now.
I walked towards the door & opened it "you may exit please."
She chuckled & got up "okay, don't say I didn't warn you."
She walked towards the door & stopped "but when The Bulls pay you a little visit, don't go crying to Michael. Your better off almost dying & bleeding then asking for his help."
She walked out leaving me in a state of shock. I closed the door & swallowed my fear. Those words in that sentence sounded serious. Deadly serious. I shook my head. No, she's just trying to get into my head. She's just a jealous ex-wife trying to scare me. I looked around the salon again. If these walls can talk, they'll tell a lot of stories.
