Draco:
I wait outside the Gryffindor Commons, something I never thought I would do. Students file out and stare at me as they walk down the landing. I lean against the wall and gaze at the ceiling. Trying to pretend I'm somewhere else. Then I hear Jade's laugh, sweet and twinkling like the stars she obsesses over. She comes through the door and I grab her. She lets out a little gasp before she realizes it's me. I lean in and kiss her softly. She smiles and wraps her arm around me before kissing me back harder. I love when she forgets where we are. She focuses all of her attention on me.

"Uhmmm!" Hermione clears her throat behind us. I stop myself from rolling my eyes. Jade blushes and tucks her hair behind her ear. I can't help but smirk. She looks cute in her little plaid skirt. I hug her from behind and kiss her cheek.
"I'm sorry. Hermione, You know Draco." She giggles.
"Yes, I think the last time we talked I punched you in the face." Hermione says with a fake smile.
"That's right. And the last time you saw me, your friend had almost killed me. And people say I'm the bully." I tease.
"Well, you have bullied Ron for years about his family, tried to get Hagrid fired, abandoned Jade when she needed you, discriminated against me for being muggle born, and tried to fight Harry multiple times. Oh, and most recently you hexed a student. Why did you do that Draco? Want to explain?" She asks, her eyes burning holes into me.
I do roll my eyes this time.
"I actually just came to tell Jade to have a good day." I say turning my back to her.
Jade frowns. I smooth her hair. "I wanted to tell you that I'll be gone for a couple of days. My father requested I go to the Manor at once."
Her face falls. "What? Why? Are you ok?" She asks, worry quickly covering her face.
"I'm fine, he just wants to talk." I say kissing her nose.
She hugs me. "I don't want you to go." She murmurs.
"I'll miss you so much." I tell her.
"I'll miss you too. Please write me if you need anything." She says.

She clings on to me tightly and I kiss the top of her head.

"I love you."
"I love you too."

I leave her with a sick feeling in my stomach.

I go back to my room and take my time packing a bag. Then I make my way to the Room of Requirement. I pace in front of the cabinet. I don't want to do this. I don't even know if I can. Dumbledore is the greatest wizard of all time. But Snape has said that he will be in the Astrology Tower and he will be weak. Now is my only chance. If I can do this, Voldemort won't have any use for me anymore and Jade and I will leave. If I don't do it, he will kill me.

I go up to the Vanishing Cabinet and mutter the spell. Bellatrix shrill laugh sounds from behind the door. Dread fills my body. I don't want to see her. I run out of the room towards the stairs.

Jade:
Hermione, Ron, and I sit in an arch of the stone bridge. Ron's back is against the wall and Hermione is happily reading a book with her back leaned against him. I rest my head against the other side of the arch. I already miss Draco. The clouds in the sky mirror my feelings. Darkness is settling around us. It looks like a storm is coming. "Where's Harry?" I ask. "It's getting late and I haven't seen him all day.
"He went somewhere with Dumbledore this morning." Hermione says absently. She runs her hand up and down Ron's arm. It's not like Harry to be gone this long without telling us.
"Ron, do you have the Marauders Map?" I ask.
"Yea." He says, pulling it out of his back pocket. I reach for it and mutter the spell, "I solemnly swear I am up to no good." The map comes alive.
"I don't see Harry or Dumbledore anywhere on here. Do you think they left the castle? That seems strange." I mutter.
"He's with Dumbledore, isn't he? He will be fine." Ron says easily.
I keep scanning the map, hoping Harry's name will appear.
Instead, I see Dracos name. His footsteps appearing in what looks to be the Room of Requirement. He's pacing. Why is he still here? And why would he lie to me?

I roll up the map and hand it back to Ron.

"Nothing interesting. I'm sure they'll be back soon." I say hopping down from the window. He tucks it back in his pocket and whispers something in Hermione's ear. She giggles. They are clearly lost in each other.
"I'm going to our room to get another book. I'll be back in a moment." I say.
