They got from road to road to road. Each time they got on a mountain, they saw the palace of Rutu. The capital of D'er. It's a beautiful city and living there means you are one of the richest people still living. But another thing about Rutu is. It's filled with D'jor. And it will be hard to go in there and even harder to go out there if you don't have a reason for stopping by. If you just enter the town. You get killed instantly, and public. On their way down the big mountain of Zeta, the only volcano in the land, they got into a little town with a couple of houses. They stopped there and saw the village's name was Zeta. Like the volcano. The town was deserted because there was too much danger that the volcano was going to erupt. Though it never did. They stopped at the town and got in the inn. The innkeeper was the same species than Jejoer, so they started talking in their language and he arranged a good room with 2 beds. They first dinned.

"So... you still didn't tell me why you were captured" asked Sam while they were eating.

"I had the declaration of war, Sam."

"That's not a reason that they kept you, by the way, their assignment was to find me."

"They found me and read it, but as soon as they saw it was in my language so I could read it to the council, they just took me captive to bring me to the council. But we were going in circles the whole time. so I thought they were planning to hang me or something."

"No" Sam said with bored eyes. "They were still looking for me, they were planning to deliver us both at the same time, if they only brought you they would be killed because they didn't do what was there task. And if they only brought me, they would also be killed because they didn't arrest you. They should be happy I killed them, they wouldn't have found me anyway."

The innkeeper came to get the empty plates and the duo went to sleep. In the morning they first had breakfast before heading back down the mountain, they thanked the innkeeper and went out.

"So... what's your plan?" asks Sam

"What do you mean? We just go in"

"It won't be so easy, as soon as you tell them about the war, they will kill you."

"That's the risk I will take. I wouldn't do it anyway if I didn't know the risk. I don't care anymore."

"Hey don't say that. I know you don't care anymore after what happened, but what if I could get you out safe?"

"How would you do that? How are you even going in?"

"Let me worry about that" Jejoer looks at Sam with questioning eyes. Of course he was someone from the army, but not just someone. But infiltrating in the most secured and most dangerous city of the land...

"I will let you know my plan in 9 minutes" To be sure Jejoer puts his watch on 9 minutes and it was true. 2 seconds before the beeps of his watch, they turned right and sat down on a rock. Sam took a stick from a tree to draw his plan in the sand.

"Listen carefully" Sam started. "This is dangerous, but possible. When I still worked at the army and we had the battle of D'rey-jui, the king at that moment, we needed to breach in from the front. Because the back was all mountain, if we wanted to breach in from the back we had to do an airstrike and that's not possible because that's in plain sight. And to now get a plane here... no. We need to bust in from the front. There is a little opening in the wall here"

Sam drew the surrounding of the palace and crossed the place of the opening.

"We have one problem. The opening is strictly guarded. We need a distraction, an excuse or a waterproof escape plan. I have no idea of the last two, because they are in a big number, and very well trained. But we do have an escape plan. We don't need to last 2 options because of that piece of paper in your hand."

Jejoer looks at the paper that was there. The declaration. That's how they are going to get him in.

"That's your free pass."

"I know that's how I get in. but how do you get out?" Jejoer asked

"Can you handle a lot of attention?"

"I used to work in a circus so yes"

"When you walk in, the guard is going to ask you what your business is. You are going to tell the truth. All eyes in whole the palace are going to be looking at you. Don't worry. They are not going to kill you. You are going to be very secured. People in the city, people who live there, will try to kill you. The guards will protect you, until you explain your business in the city to the queen. When she knows about it, then the guards will try to kill you. So as everyone in the city. When you're in there, I will slip in through the crack in the wall here" he pointed at the cross that he put in the sand.

"But you just said the crack was highly secured?" Jejoer asked

"You're not a very good listener are you?" Sam asked with his eyes rolling. Jejoer looked down in sadness.

"When you are in the city, being transported to the palace, all eyes are on you, so they won't find the crack suddenly not so important anymore."

"Ok, now I understand, tell me the plan to get me out"

"Finally" Sam continued. "When you're in front of the queen, she will question what to do to you. If we are lucky she will take you to her prisons to kill you later. If we aren't so lucky..."

"What then?"

"Public execution" Jejoer suddenly wasn't so thrilled about the plan anymore.

"So either way... I die." He asked

"No, because I'm there. If we end up in a fight, I'll buy you some time. you just have to run from the way I came. That will be your escape route. In and out from the same way."

"But what If they lock me up?" Jejoer asked

"Then it will be easier, I'll steal some keys and get you out so we can escape the palace both. If we start walking now, we'll be there at night. It's easier to go in and out."

They took their bags and left to the palace. Unknowing there were going to be more problems than getting in and out...
