You get up early in the morning to go and say goodbye to the boys who were heading off to bootcamp today. When you get there the apartment is quite stressful, all the boys are running around, trying to remember all the stuff they had to bring. JJ’s face lights up as soon as he sees you, “HI” he says, giving you a kiss and a hug. The boys are all ready to go down to the car, you follow them down, and Ria and Jaymis boyfriend Olly quickly arrive. You all say good luck and goodbye to your boyfriends, JJ holds you tight while kissing your forehead. “I’m gonna miss you JJ” you say, almost crying “I’ll be back soon babe, promise” he says in a gentle voice. “Bye” you say while he gets into the car.
Ria, Olly and you are all gonna stay in the boys apartment while they’re gone, their place is nicer than any of ours.
2 days later: “Goodmorning” Olly says while knocking on your door “I’ve made breakfast” “Thanks Olly, I’ll be down in a minute” You wake up properly and realize that it’s today the boys are coming home again. You get filled with excitement, but you’re nervous at the same time. What if they don’t make it?
10 PM
No texts, no phone call, no boys
11 PM
No texts, no phone call, no boys.
1:10 AM
Jaymis car pulls up outside the apartment, Ria, Olly and you quickly get up and open the door before the boys get out of the car. The first one to get out of the car is Josh, you can clearly see that he’s been crying, a lot. You are the first one standing in the door when they come in, you give Josh a quick hug, and leave him to Ria. Jaymi comes in next, tears are running down his cheeks, you put your arms around him, and he starts crying even more. As soon as he realizes that Olly is there he moves over to him. JJ comes in last, he basically throws himself into your arms, he is crying so much. No one has actually said that they didn’t make it yet, but we all kinda figured it out when we saw the tears streaming down their faces. JJ lifts his head up from your shoulder, looks you straight into your eyes, and whispers “I’m sorry” “JJ, don’t be sorry, you did your best I’m sure” you say. “Coffee anyone?” Olly asks. “Yeah, sure” Josh cries. “excuse me” JJ says, leaving your arms and runs up the stairs. You are about to follow him, but Jaymi tells you to leave him alone for a bit.
You sit down for a coffee, and Josh and Jaymi tells you about the sing off against GMD3. At about 2:30 am Josh falls asleep in Rias arms. Olly and Jaymi are still in the kitchen, talking. You decide to go home, but you want to go up and say bye to JJ first. You go up to his room, and knock on the door. “come in?” JJ says. I go into the room, JJ is still crying. You sit down beside you and he leans his head on your shoulder. “It’s okay JJ, there will be other chances. You can make it on your own” You are sitting against the wall, and he is lying between your legs, resting his head on your chest, your arms are around this chest. You kiss him gently behind his right ear. He looks at you, you wipe a tear away from his cheek, and smile. “Thankyou for being here” he says. “Don’t thank me JJ, I’ll always be here for you” you say, combing his hair with your fingers. JJ lays down again, and a tear from his cheek lands on your arm. With your arms around him, he falls asleep. You decide to stay, since you can’t just move him. You lay down, still holding JJ. He kinda wakes up, and turns around, he places your head on his chest, and you slowly doze away to the calming sound of his heartbeat.
