The vents were cold on the young boys knees as he crawled through the vent of the mysterious lab a few blocks from his home. Gordon was now 9 and had just moved across the state for his father's new job. His mother wasn't happy about the move however he was. He liked new sights and new friends. Gordon just liked new it was odd but he did. He had only lived at his new home for a few days, but he thought it was a good day to explore the lab by his house. He wouldn't have worn shorts if he knew how cold it would be. He saw a light it hurt his eyes for a moment, but he got used to it. He noticed the vent didn't have a cover, and he wanted to get out, so he did.

When he exited the vent he saw himself in a cold room. He thought to himself "It smells like pee in here." He looked at the walls beside him and noticed they were covered in paper. But the paper wasn't empty, no they had tiny drawings all over them made from different supplies. Markers, pens, pencil, and charcoal. Gordon noticed most of the drawings were charcoal which was odd seeing as the medium was messy and the drawings seemed to be drawn by a young child. Possibly his age; on the wall in front of him he saw a door however, the glass on the door was opaque. He walked to the door to see if it was locked but as he touched the handle a cold hand touched his neck. Gordon jumped and quickly turned around obviously frightened. He looked at who or what had touched him and noticed it was a little boy. He was short and wide-eyed, had a tiny pushed up nose and dark blue eyes. Other notable features were the raccoon mask around his eyes and his semi long black hair. He was unnerving he looked human, but he also didn't. His skin wasn't normal it was almost gray, and he had eyes like a cat. Gordon stared at the young boy and the boy looked confused more than anything. "... Who are you? I don't think you're supposed to be here." the young boy said making Gordon jump again. "I uh I was just about to leave!" he hastily replied. The boy looked slightly sad after that response. "Oh ok-" he said obviously saddened "Actually I can stay what's your name?" Gordon asked he didn't feel or look as scared anymore seeing as he had already examined the boy as much as he could from looking at him. The boy smiled and happily replied
"I'm Benry!" Gordon giggled "That's a funny name I'm Gordon!" "I'm sorry for scaring you I wanted to see what was in your hair" Benry quickly said hoping to be trusted. Gordon looked nervous "There was something in my hair…?" the odd boy replied "Yeah it's holding it back or something."

Gordon remembered he was wearing a hair tie and told Benry about what it was. The boys chattered for a while until someone unlocked the door and Gordon hid in the vent. He got scared so he left. When he got home he noticed something in his back pocket. A tiny drawing. It was different it was stick figures, but they had more detail than normal and their heads were made out of fingerprints left on the paper from charcoal. Gordon happily hung it on his wall.
