My first update as "Savior" being its own official book! AHHH thank you all so much for the support and love y'all are my angels! I love reading your comments so so much!

Damien watched as her stormy gray ocean eyes lit up when he asked if she wanted to sleep over. She nodded quickly , getting up from her chair at the table. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

"Want to go watch a movie princess?" He asked.

"Y-yeah I got to do the dishes before though," she grinned, unraveling her arms from his neck before reaching for his plate.

"Uh, uh, uh," he grabbed her wrist gently, wrapping her smaller hand in his much larger one. "I got the dishes, baby. You just relax, okay?"

"N-no! Please Damey let me do the dishes," she pouted and yet again he realized how much power his girl had over him. She could light his heart on fire and as long as she was happy, he would let himself burn for her.

"Baby, don't look at me like that," he cooed. He was surprised when she sat down on his lap and continued to pout.

"Please Damey! I'll-I'll uh..." she paused for a second, deep in thought. "I'll tell you an embarrassing  secret!" She blurted, then turned pink after she realized what she had said.

He chuckled, brushing a strand of her sun kissed hair behind her ear which was adorned by a small diamond butterfly earring.

"How about I will carry all the dishes there and I'll put all the silverware and plates in the dishwasher and you can do the pans?" He suggested.

She nodded quickly before booping his nose and giggling before getting off his lap. As his princess, his lap was his rightful throne and he wanted to make sure she became used to the idea.

Lily hummed as she washed the dishes, her golden hair hanging down her back. Damian stood, arms crossed leaning against the kitchen wall. Her eyes darted to his, a blush creeping up her cheeks. She heard him walk up behind her and out of habit she dug her teeth into her bottom lip.

"What's got my princess all pink, hmm?" He rasped out.

Lily felt her tummy fill with butterflies at which she let a giggle out at the thought of butterflies flying around in her stomach.

Damien felt like an idiot, smiling over ever little thing his girl did. All she did was laugh and he was ready to do everything and anything she wanted from him.

After the dishes were done, Damien held himself back from kissing Lily until they were both out of breath, panting with need for one another. Instead he opted for grabbing her small hand and wrapping his around it as he led her to the living room. He loved the way she looked up at him as they walked, her eyes bright and happy.

"C-can you pick the movie?" She asked, fiddling with the bottom of her shirt as she looked up at Damien, a pout decorating her lips.

"You sure?"

She nodded her head and Damien grabbed the remote, his dark eyebrows furrowed in concentration as he thought of a movie Lily would like. He decided on the new live action Aladdin movie.

Lily went to sit on the ground, her eyes focused on the big tv screen. She was so happy Damien was letting her watch tv! Bella never let her.

"Princess, come sit next to me, hmmm?"

Lily got up slowly, making her way to the couch.

"A-are you sure, Damey?"

"Mhm, positive. This couch is too big for just me."

She sat next to him, their legs brushing. He wanted to hoist her onto his lap and she wished she was sitting there but both were too afraid that they were moving too fast for the other.

As the movie played, Damien had trouble paying attention to anything but Lily. She had a little scar near the corner of her left eye and it made him frown thinking of what could've hurt her that bad that it would scar. Sure, Lily was the most beautiful girl in the world but the heart hidden away in her was even more beautiful. She was so positive that even though less than 3 hours ago she was a sobbing mess, she now was watching Aladdin, head rested against his chest, a smile on her lips.

As the credits began to roll, Lily looked up at him.

"Damey I just wanted t-to thank you. For everything. I-I really appreciate everything you did for me. I know I will never be able to make it up but you are one of my bffls," she giggled, despite her eyes clouding over with tears.

He placed her onto his lap and held her as she cried again. Today was overwhelming for her and although it pained him to see her upset, he would always hold her when she cried.

"I-I'm re-really sorry." She mumbled, her voice shaky. "I know I'm a lame baby."

"You are not lame, Lil please don't talk about yourself like that. You are perfect just the way you are and I never want you to change. Don't you ever apologize to me for crying, my pretty girl."

They sat there for a while, Damien rubbing her back soothingly as she clung to the man who saved her. He knew she was far too naive to understand that he wanted to be more than "bffls" but he was content no matter what label was given to them as long as she was in his arms and he was the only man who tainted her dreams.

AHHHH sorry this chapter was low key boring :( I just want to really work on character development and even though this book is probably gonna have a fast paced plot, I don't want to rush every aspect of their relationship.

Mini story time: So last night me and my boyfriend Matt brought my little cousins Nicole and Audrey tubing last night and we were waiting in line to check in because due to covid you have to like pre order tickets online and all that. This lady freaking walks in front of us and like the line was hella long like we had waited for like 20 minutes in the freezing cold and this woman j scoots her way in front of us and I wasn't going to say anything because I hate confrontation. However Matt was like pissed because this woman didn't even like say anything to us like oopsies sorry or like explain why she did that. And my little cousins are like 4 and 6 so they have no patience and like little kids are so blunt and honest and Nicole goes "who does she think she is?" And this woman turns around and goes "tell your daughter to watch her attitude." And when she said it she pulled her mask down and I was like ew miss girl pull it back up right now. And then I'm like wait a damn minute did this woman just sass me? So before Matt can say anything I go "excuse me?" And she says something along the lines of "you heard what I said don't get smart with me." And Matt is little Mr overprotective so he was like "Do not tell my girl what to do mind your own fucking business." and so she was like "No need to be an asshole sorry your girlfriend had kids with another man" So me and Matt are both white but my little cousins are black so I mean I guess I knew what she was trying to say but like uh miss girl why would you ever say that? We could've adopted them as well like even if they were from a different dad why would that matter? And I was just like so done with her so I wasn't even trying to stop Matt when he said "I don't know if you're having a bad day or if you're just a bitch but if you say one more thing to my family I swear to god my threats won't be empty then." Uh she turned and faced forward real quick... not that Matt would ever actually hurt someone but hes like hella tall and has a lot of muscle so it just makes him look bigger and more intimidating I guess but I promise he's just a teddy bear in disguise! 🥺🥺
