As the dinner continued, Mr. Kim's gaze remained fixated on Jungkook, who had lowered his head in shame. It was evident that Jungkook had been cutting classes, a fact that Mr. Kim seemed to address without much surprise.

However, a sudden whisper from Y/n's mom to Mr. Kim piqued her curiosity. Their secretive exchange was brief, but it left her with a lingering sense of suspicion. Mr. Kim then took a deep breath and cleared his throat, shifting the attention back to him.

"Children, since we are all gathered here," he began, "I would like to make an announcement."

The room fell silent in anticipation, and then, Mr. Kim dropped the bombshell, "We are getting married."

The unified exclamation of "What!" rang through the room, unanimous in its shock and disbelief. Y/n couldn't help but mentally roll her eyes at this surreal situation.

The tension in the room escalated as Y/n's frustration and sense of betrayal reached its peak. She couldn't contain her emotions any longer. "Mom! This is unacceptable. First, I only find out this morning that you've been in a serious relationship with Mr. Kim for over two years, and now, this very evening, you announce your wedding. Do you have any idea how this would affect your daughter, who's in high school?" Her voice quivered with a mix of anger and hurt. "We were there for each other, yet you didn't trust me."

Jimin's words echoed Y/n's sentiments as he added his disapproval, "Well, yeah, Dad, you date your personal assistant, and then you announce your marriage as if we were happily going to accept it."

Her mom's face displayed a tumultuous mix of emotions anger, sadness, and guilt as she absorbed the weight of her daughter's reactions.

Frustration and disappointment overwhelmed Y/n. She stood up, her voice quivering, "You know what, mom? You can stay here forever. I wish you all the happiness with your new husband and your new sons."

Her departure was swift, leaving a stunned silence in her wake. With a final declaration, Y/n left the mansion, the heavy emotions of the evening weighing heavily on her.

As Y/n walked away from the mansion, a whirlwind of emotions swirled within her. The night sky stretched above, dotted with stars, but there was no comfort to be found in their distant glow. She felt hurt, betrayed, and overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events.

Tears welled up in her eyes, blurring her vision as she tried to navigate the unfamiliar streets. She couldn't help but replay the scene at the dinner table in her mind. The shock of her mother's announcement and her siblings' reactions still stung like an open wound.

"Why didn't they trust me enough to share this with me earlier?" Y/n whispered to herself, her voice shaky. It hurt to think that her own family had kept such a significant secret from her.

She continued walking, each step taking her further away from the mansion and the life she had known. The night was silent except for the soft rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. Y/N's thoughts raced as she considered her next steps. She couldn't go back home, not now.

Her phone buzzed in her pocket, and she pulled it out to see a text from her best friend, Lisa. It read, "Hey, where are you? Is everything okay?"

Y/N hesitated for a moment, her fingers hovering over the phone's keyboard. Then, with a sigh, she began to type out a response, explaining the chaotic events of the evening. Lisa replied with words of comfort and offered to pick her up.

As Y/n waited for her friend, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of sadness and relief. She was hurt by her family's actions, but at the same time, she was grateful to have a friend who cared enough to be there for her.

When Lisa arrived, Y/n climbed into the car, and they drove away from the tumultuous night. She knew that her life had just taken an unexpected turn, and she had many challenges ahead, but with a loyal friend by her side, she felt a glimmer of hope that she could navigate this new chapter in her life.
