A distinct buzzing sound echoed around the house, startling Kazama awake. Disoriented with sleep, he blinked and tried to make sense of where he was and what time it was.

An arm snaked around his waist, pulling his back into something warm and hard and Kazama gave up wondering. He smiled at the comfort and snuggled closer to the source of the warmth and fell asleep once again.

The buzzing was back, this time louder and more persistent. Kazama realised that it was the sound of a doorbell. But their doorbell didn't sound like this. It sounded like Shinchan's doorbell. Which meant-

His eyes shot open, the sleep leaving him at NASCAR speed. Shit. They must have fallen asleep watching TV. Shinchan stirred at the noise and tightened his hold on his waist.

Kazama blushed furiously, "Shinchan, get up."

"It's probably just Mom. She can use the back door," he mumbled sleepily. Kazama could feel his breath on his neck, making the soft hair stand up in attention. Kazama felt his breathing slow down and Shinchan was sleeping like the dead once more.

"Idiot," Kazama muttered and tried to get out of the sleeping boy's hold without waking him. Shinchan needed to rest to get better and Kazama had too much of a guilty conscience to disturb him.

The bell rang louder and longer as the person got impatient. Shinchan was getting irritated by the sound. He was so comfortable, he didn't want to get up. Why wasn't his mother letting herself in?

He heard someone calling his name. It sounded like ... Kazama. He jerked upright and pushed himself away from the blue haired boy, both of them looking at each other with wide eyes.

"Did we..?" Shinchan didn't finish his sentence, panic swelling within him. He didn't want their first time to be like this, if they were going to have a first time that is.

"No," the other boy said, looking away from him as a blush covered his cheeks, "We fell asleep watching TV."

Shinchan nodded, relieved. He had just been dreaming about it, then. "Okay um... I'll go see who it is."

He rushed to the door, taking his time to recover from the near disaster that had happened.

"Shin Chan! I missed you! You didn't come to school for days!" Ai Chan exclaimed. Startled, he was going to slam the door at her face, but she let herself in on her own before he could.

He waited for her bodyguard to come in too but when he didn't, Shinchan shrugged and greeted him with a fist bump. He was a cool guy with a stupid job.

Kazama was surprised when Ai Chan walked in. But then he cursed at himself for being surprised. They were dating after all. Why wouldn't she be here? It was he, who was intruding.

"Hey Kazama. You came to see Shinchan?" She asked, looking around excitedly.

He inwardly rolled his eyes. Who else would he come to see at his house?
"Yeah. I was just going to leave though."

"Already?" Shinchan appeared at the doorway. Kazama found himself blushing again. What the hell was happening to him?

Ai Chan ran to put her arms around Shinchan, and hugged him close, "Nene told me you were sick and wanted to see me. How are you, sweetheart?"

Shinchan was going to kill Nene the next time he saw her. He understood what her idea was but he didn't want to play with Ai Chan's feelings just for his own selfish reasons. He guessed Nene was taking her childish fight with Ai forward.

He awkwardly hugged her back and was relieved when she let him go, "I don't know. After all I drank Kazama's tea," he looked at the boy and grinned.

But Kazama didn't return the smile. He looked hurt and Shinchan thought he knew why. He was torn between wanting to rush to the boy and tell him he felt nothing for Ai Chan and carrying out Nene's plan.

He thought of Kazama's hateful words from that day and how he had not reciprocated the kiss. He steeled himself and smiled at Ai who immediately beamed back, "But now that you're here, I already feel so much better."

"Aww, you're so cute, Shinchan! I brought everything you like to eat. Let me know if you want something else. I've already called my family doctor. She will be here any second to check on you."

Shinchan blanched and wondered if he should forfeit the plan already.

Kazama looked away from them, unable to bear it anymore. She brought him everything he wanted. And what did he do? Make him tea that he didn't even like?

The reason for his growing jealousy was becoming clearer to him and his breathing grew erratic as he thought about what it meant.

He was a boy. A stupid, goofy, annoying boy. Kazama couldn't like a boy. He wasn't like that, was he?

All he knew was that he had never been more comfortable than he was when he was in Shinchan's arms. And the kiss, he had been such a coward to push him away. Now that he was out of his reach, he was desperate for a chance to kiss him again.

What a pathetic idiot, he was.

If you liked it, vote and make me feel less pathetic than our dear Kazama.
