Ch1- A warrior at last

Silvershine's POV

I nodded my head at Darkpaw. She fluffed up her brown and black fur and squished her tail.

"I.. I can't believe we're warriors." Darkpaw mewed her eyes sparkling. I nodded. Ever since we became apprentices, we were friends.

I nudged Darkpaw and pointed with my muzzle at Shadowfang. Darkpaw coked her head. "What?"

I purred. "You like him. And more that we're warriors, we can mate!" Darkpaw shuffled her paws. "I..I don't think so. I'm sure he didn't even like me."

I nodded and sighed. "I guess." Darkpaw flicked her tail over my muzzle. "And you like Gingergaze."

I gasped and felt my fur growing hot. "N..No I don't." I stammered and looked away.

Darkpaw shook her head and purred, "Sure you don't." I wailed, "No I Don't!" Darkpaw shook her head. Losteye padded and leaped over Darkpaw.

"Losteye sure earned her name." I breathed shivering as her scarred face turned to me.

Darkpaw nodded. Losteye had earned her name as a apprentice, she took on a badger that ended up chasing her across to Shadowclan border.

Losteye flicked her tail. "I can't see you Darkpaw, Silverpaw but I can hear and smell you."

Darkpaw shuddered. Feathercloud touched her nose to my fur. Giving my mother a lick, she padded or of camp with Hawkstare, her mate bounding after her.

"What are those two gonna do?" Darkpaw asked me. I shrugged, Darkpaw's parents were killed.

"Let's follow them." I suggested. I meant it as a joke, really. "You know....that's a great idea!"

Sighing, I padded after my friend. We walked till Feathercloud's sent drifted toward us.

"I think I know what they're doing." I muttered. Darkpaw shrugged. "So what? I've known what they were doing, but yet we're here."

Hawkstare's sent of joy flooded my nose. We crouched their flicking our tails. We peered nervously out of the bush.

Hawkstare was on top of Feathercloud. He was making a weird noise and do was Feathercloud.

Hawkstare was pumping in and out of Feathercloud. She was bucking her hips and Hawkstare was waving his tail.

Feathercloud purred, "My turn." Hawkstare nodded and he dismounted Feathercloud.

"Let's go!" I hissed to Darkpaw. She nodded and we bounded out of there. We pushed through the gorse tunnel, and Rosestar stood on the High-rock.

"Welcome Darkpaw, Silverpaw." Cats were gathered and Rosestar flicked her tail. Darkpaw nodded and we leaped up to join Rosestar.

"Darkpaw, you have learned the ways of our code and you are ready to become a warrior." Darkpaw stood taller.

"Darkpaw from this moment on you shall be known as Darklight!" Rosestar turned to me. "Silverpaw you also have learned our code, so from this moment in your are, Silvershine!"
