"Curse Theo and his stupid talk about Draco!" Hermione grumbled as she lay on her bed. Ever since her final meeting with the Head Boy Hermione's mind went back to the blonde Slytherin who had been her first kiss.
Hermione wanted to think that it was nothing but it wasn't.
"It's just leftover from the last time, leftover from a childhood crush," Hermione said out loud and in her head.
"What's leftover from a childhood crush?" Blaise asked, full of curiosity, who had his sister crushed on? Who was the one she had 'leftover' feelings for?
"BLAISE! Are you eavesdropping? Don't you have a life of your own?" Hermione whisper-yelled furiously into the elder Zabini's head.
"No, you spoke into my head. It was probably by accident, going from your reaction. And yes I have my own life. Now spill." Blaise replied.
"I have leftover feelings for someone from something long ago. It's in the past." Hermione answered, putting up mental shields to keep Blaise out.
But when Hermione saw people asking each other to the dance (to be held on December 15th in The Great Hall from 19:00 pm- 00:00 am, fourth years and up, masquerade ball theme) she instantly pictured Draco asking her to the dance.
"Are you okay, Mia? You spaced out for a moment." Astoria asked.
"Huh? Oh yes, I'm alright. Listen, can you and Luna meet me at the Astronomy tower at noon?" Hermione asked.
"That sounds good, I assume that you will tell us why there?" Astoria agreed while Luna nodded.
"I will," Hermione promised before going off to Ancient Runes.

All three girls raced towards the Astronomy Tower as the morning classes were let out. Luna arrived first and began to ponder what Hermione would want to talk about...she also thought about Theo. Astoria arrived a few minutes later. There was still no sign of Hermione but the two struck up a conversation immediately for the two of them and Hermione were becoming fast friends.

Hermione was rushing towards the Astronomy Tower when she felt a tug on her wrist; tied to her hand was a string that kept tugging her in the direction on the lake.
