No, I couldn't lie to this little girl. She hadn't noticed yet. I had to tell her.

"Hope, this is hard for me to tell you... I'm sorry, but I'm not the one you are looking for."

Hope

My jaw almost hit the floor as I stared at him in awe.
He didn't love me?

He slowly inched closer to me and lifted my chin so that I could look in his eyes.

"Hope, I don't want to hurt you. You weren't made for me. There has to be a mistake. I can help you fi-"

"NO! Don't touch me, don't even look at me! How can it be any clearer Joel? Your watch fell off at the same time as mine! Now, I don't ever want to see you again, you filthy ass!" I yelled and grabbed Dani, dragging her to the car, tears falling like waterfalls from my eyes.

A strong hand grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. "Hope... We were never made to be, and I say that in the nicest way possible. Hope, My watch never fell off."

I looked at his wrist that was faced upwards. He was right. The clock still had several hours before it would ever fall off. I turned around and buried my face in my hands. I turned my head to face him, only to see him crying as well. "IS THIS SOME KIND OF SICK JOKE!? THIS ISNT FUNNY! IF SOMEONE IS JOKING WITH ME, YOU BETTER COME OUT NOW BEFORE I FIND YOU AND RIP OFF ONE OF YOUR LIMBS!"

Dani started to laugh until I gave her a death glare, and she stopped. Joel kissed me on the cheek and walked away, not after saying, "I hope you find your one and only. Don't forget me, I will always help you."

Dani then picked me up and helped me into the car.

This was the worst day ever.
