I would make them like this:
EJ would be a cat, because he's always quiet and he has a cool cat.
Jeff would be a little puppy because he's always yapping but you can't help but think he's cute.
Clocky would be a monkey because she's crazy and adorable.
Toby would be penguin. I'm not really sure why for this one. Just a gut feeling.
And BEN would be a hermit crab because he's always in hiding.
