Chapter 3 goodbye for now Emily

I came back from my trip to the witches house holding a pumpkin necklace. I watched Jack pack Emily's bag while Emily was still asleep.

"I know we have to do this but..." I sob.

Jack walks over and hugs me. "I know Sally but we just can't risk Emily's safety."

I look at him showing him the necklace. "Well at least she'll have this to remind her of home. It'll make her look human to people but she'll still have her orange eyes and red hair. But hopefully she can fit in. Oh and it'll let us watch her."

Jack smiles weakly crying a little. "That's good it'll be like we're there to watch over her."

I look at him not looking forward to this at all "well.......ready?"

Jack cries a little. "yea"

I watch Jack walk into Emily's room and come out holding her and she slowly wakes up.

Emily stretches and yawns. "hi daddy"

I smile at her. "Hi honey daddy me an you are all going on a little trip ok?"

Emily smiles. "Ok sounds fun!"

I smile helping Emily put her pumpkin bat backpack on and puts the pumpkin necklace on her. "Now Emily this necklace will protect you so don't ever take it off ok?"

Emily smiles looking at her necklace. "Ok mommy its pretty"

Jack smiles holding her hand and I hold her other hand walking out the door with her. We let her have a look at our house before leaving.

Jack leads us through the graveyard into the human world and we stop in front of a huge red brick orphanage. Both of us cry hugging Emily and I kiss her forehead.

Emily looks worried. "Mommy daddy what's wrong? Your scaring me."

Jack kneels in front of Emily. "Emily I'm sorry but Halloween town is not a safe place for you right now. So you need to stay here for now."

Emily sobs knowing we're leaving her pumpkin eyes loosing their usual happy glow.

I look at her. "you can come home when your 13 and always remember your daddy and I love you very much."

Jack and I hug her tight holding her for about 5 minutes crying. When Jack and I finally let go of her we make her sit on the front porch and knock on the door. We quickly retreat after kissing our daughter goodbye.

I blow a kiss to her. "goodbye for now Emily see you in 8 years remember us."

I start sobbing tears streaming down my face and scream. "Mommy!! Daddy!! Come back!! I need you!!" I sob so hard I start choking on my sobs watching them disappear into the grave yard.

I hear the door open and a nice looking lady picks me up as I sob and get taken inside scared.
