Your POV
"I don't wanna..." I groan falling back onto my bed, using the blankets to cover up my body.
"Come on sweetie." Mom sits on the side of my bed and I look up at her. I pout. "No, I'm not your mother-"
"Well technically you are." I smile. She rolls her eyes.
"I meant your other mother." She scoffs. "Your puppy eyes don't work on me." She says.
"Aren't you tired mom? Don't you want to lay back down in bed, under the really warm blankets?" I suggest lifting up my bankers.
"10 minutes." She says climbing in my bed. I give her a pillow and scoot over. Mom cuddles up in my bed. "Your bed is really comfy." She whispers.
"I know." I smile. My door opens and Mom and I both turn to see Ma standing there rolling her eyes. "You wanna get in? It's really comfy." I smile.
"We have to leave in an hour." Ma says. I scoff.
"It's a live stream. They can wait. You're the only people they need there." I say. I open the other side of the blankets and Ma lays down. "Do I have to take Al to his game?" I groan.
"Yeah. Now don't talk for 10 minutes. Then we'll get up." Ma whispers. I groan and snuggle back in. After about 15 minutes Al comes in and groans.
"Get up..." He groans. He whips the blankets off and the 3 of us collectively groan. "I have a game in 45 minutes. Y/n, please." Al begs. I open my eyes and see my little brother pouting. I groan and sit up. I was in my underwear, so I just threw on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. I threw my hair up in a messy bun, and turned to my mothers who were sound asleep in my bed.
"Alright you two. Up." I physically pick Mom up and she groans. I place her on the ground and drag Ma out of bed. They both look really sleepy, but so am I therefore they are going to have to deal with it.
They leave my room, and I follow behind, going to brush my teeth. Once I complete my task, I go downstairs, and eat a bowl of cereal with Al. Al was very good at basketball, I wouldn't be surprised if his Freshman year he would make varsity. He could make more 3's than I was able to.
We finished our breakfast, I grabbed the keys, my phone, and my wallet, and Al and I were off. "So who are you guys playing?" I ask. It was a travel program. This game happened to be home. He played most teams from the surrounding towns in LA.
"I don't really know." Al shrugs. I laugh and turn on the radio. When we pull up to Al's game, and he gets settled into warm ups I text Kate and ask her to come. She texts me telling me that she's on her way, and I have a contented smile while Al starts the game.
He was put in the starting 5 with his friends Joey and Henry, and two other boys from his team Jason and Marc. Al and Joey won the MVP's of their league last year, so they were a power house. After the tip-off I look to the door and see Kate walking in.
She makes eye contact with me and smiles, walking up to me. She comes up the bleachers and sits next to me. "Hey baby." She smiles sitting down. I turn to her and she leans in kissing me softly. I hum against her lips, and she smiles pulling away. I pout. "We're at your brothers basketball game." She smiles.
"We'll find a closet at halftime." I smile. Kate laughs and rests her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her, resting it on her other hip. She was wearing a crop top, so I was able to rub my thumb over the exposed skin. "I like this shirt." I whisper in her ear, kissing the side of her head.
"Yeah, I know. You tell me every time." She laughs. I turn back to the game trying to focus on Al's playing. He always asked me for tips after the game, so I had to concentrate to give him some.
At half time I concluded that he needed to block shots with his hand straight up, he needed to look at the baseline for Henry who was usually open to make an easy layup, and when bringing up the ball he needed to also use his right hand, he was a lefty and they were catching on.
The good news was, they played at the elementary school that Kate and I went to, so we knew all of the janitors closets and stuff. Kate and I worked at a summer camp here so we looked for ones that weren't locked. There was one on the second floor we loved.
I drag Kate to the closet and throw her in it, putting a chair against the handle it behind me.

"Hey sweetie, what's that on your neck?" Ma asks. I run my hand and wince at the bruise. Ma laughs. "You should probably cover that up before your mother gets home." Ma says popping a grape in her mouth.
"Do you have make up?" I ask.
"You are like 95 shades darker than me. I don't know how well that would work." Ma laughs. I roll my eyes.
"I don't have any! Where is Mom's?" I ask.
"In our bathroom." She says. I nod and walk upstairs. I go into the bathroom and conceal the previously very obvious hickey. I go back downstairs and Ma nods in approval.
"When does Mom get home?" I ask sitting at the counter and taking a bite of my sandwich. Ma shrugs.
"We're doing a song at the studio that's she's leading in, Dinah and Mani as the harmonies so I don't know. Hopefully soon. She's been there since 7am." Ma says.
"Aww you miss your wife." I laugh. Ma rolls her eyes. "It's cute." I laugh
"Oh would you shut up. You can't even go to your brother's basketball game without calling Kate." Ma laughs. "And you guys aren't even married." Ma giggles.
"Hop off..." I mumble finishing my sandwich. Ma laughs and leaves, I'm assuming to go for a run. I go upstairs to do some homework because it was Sunday, and I had school tomorrow... so I had to do homework...

"84!" I scream out jumping from my seat in Ap Calc class. Mr. Roberts looks at me and smiles. "Sorry..." I sit down. Kate puts her hand on my thigh. I turn to her and she smiles.
"Thank you Miss Jauregui. Now please take a seat, and next time raise your hand." He smiles. I nod bashfully and pick up my pencil, scribbling in my answer. Kate laughs and I turn to her, my smile growing because she had one across her face.
"You're an idiot." Kate laughs. I roll my eyes and continue working on the worksheet in front of me. "My parents aren't home. Come over after basketball." Kate whispers.
"Stay and watch practice." I smile. Kate loved watching me physically exert myself, in more ways than one. Usually about halfway through practice everyone got so hot and sweaty from all the running, it wasn't unusual to take off your shirt, and practice in just your sports bra.
"Ok. I can't watch you the whole time. If you're coming over I'm gonna have to do some homework." Kate says. The bell rings, we start packing up our stuff, heading to lunch.
Justin had finally come back to school, we weren't really hanging out, we just kind of waved in passing. He was in one of my classes, but we didn't sit next to each other. I mean we were friendly, but we aren't friends. Abby says he's doing better, but I still feel really bad. He knows Kate and I are back together, and often during lunch I catch him looking over at us when Kate says something funny and I laugh.
Kate told me not to worry about it, even though she felt bad as well. She said just give him time. I've tried to calm down the PDA with Kate when I'm near him, she doesn't usually notice, or she doesn't mind.
"Hey baby, I have a PB+J." Kate says. I smile and give her my turkey sandwich, and she gives me her PB+J. They are easily my favorite sandwiches. Nothing close to competing with it. The only issue was I didn't eat peanut butter that often because Lucas was allergic. We didn't keep it in our house. But I knew I would be showering at school, and changing my clothes so I knew he wouldn't have it as a problem.
"Thanks babe." I smile pecking her lips lightly. Abby starts talking, so I turn to her, but all I see are Justin's bright green eyes staring intently at me. I smile lightly and he looks away.
"He's ok. Don't force it." Kate whispers in my ears. I nod and turn back to my lunch.
