it was early morning, both alexis and pyro were found in the living room. they were curled up together on the couch, smiles easily forming on both of their faces. a movie was playing in the background, neither could be bothered to remember the name though. a little bit behind them someone was watching the television with curiosity lit in their eyes. their full attention on the movie- a movie called 'opheia'.
it was a tale of gods- a tale of betrayal, love, and suspense. they couldn't help but keep their eyes glued to the screen. different theories flying around in their head, some thrown out quickly and others that stayed around.
interrupting the peace, a boy walked into the room. his hair a mess- brown locks flowing every which way. "hey guys? you both the firsts ones up again?"
pyro glanced up, "oh hey horizon, alexis fell asleep maybe a half an hour ago? i've been awake for a while though."
horizon flopped onto the chair next to the couch, raising a questioning eyebrow at the older boy. "something on your mind? you usually sleep just fine with her."
a small hum left pyro, "just feels like someone's been watching me- probably just me being paranoid though."
"i got that feeling last night." horizon let out a tired chuckle. "like someone was just glaring at me for hours. i couldn't fall asleep until like- 4 in the morning."
pyro made a noncommittal sound of agreement, his fingers combing through alexis's soft brown hair. "maybe there are ghosts or something. las did say some people supposedly died here right?"
a laugh escaped horizon, "there's no such things as ghosts- idiot." all of a sudden bloodlust seeped through the room, all aimed at the boy. of course the boy ignored the feeling and continued with his talk with pyro. thought he couldn't help the small shiver that ran through his body.
doesn't believe we are real?
i heard it too. lets fuck him up.
haha. let's do this- it was so funny when he just couldn't sleep last night.
"hey pyro do you want anything to drink? i'm getting myself a thing off coffee." horizon said slowly standing up from his seat.
the maroon haired boy hummed in thought for a moment before he spoke again, "hot chocolate if you can." horizon made a noise of acknowledgement before walking over to the kitchen that was adjacent to the living room.
two ghosts swirled over his head, of course oblivious to the young teen. both of them had wispy skin, gray in color. where there legs would be the simply had a tail- similar to one of a genie. the first ghost had dark brown hair, fluffy and defying the laws of gravity when the boy was upside down and his hair remained going the correct direction. his brown eyes were hardened on the boy making drinks below him. a large scowl plastered across his face. he wore a faded out red shirt, a couple tears sewn up.
the second ghost had long blonde hair that tumbled past her waist, a small ghostly flower tucked into the blonde locks. gray eyes flicked around the rooms- full of mischief and a hint of another emotion. something that was almost unreadable. she had an expressionless face except for the small smirk that adorned her face. of course only the the other ghost present could tell, and it was hard to even tell at that. she wore a soft blue tank top with white stripes across the bottom of it.
both of them floated around horizon, merely observing him. both ghosts occasionally floated through the boy, causing small shivers to wrack his body. "horizon are you really that cold?" pyro's voice echoed from the other room, peering over the couch at the younger body.
"i just keep getting chills, don't worry about it pyro." horizon said, his attention turning back to the coffee. as he was looking back, the female ghost swooped down and swiped the coffee off of the counter. horizon yelped tugging his shirt away from his skin to avoid the hot liquid touching his skin. "what the hell?!" he said with a strangled scream.
"horizon?" a sleepy voice rang through the room. alexis was looking over to the counter with bleary eyes. "are you okay?" she asked.
"stupid coffee got knocked over by something." he hissed out, a grimace on his face. a stain forming on his soft orange shirt.
"it was probably just the wind." alexis murmured, yawning once as she rubbed her eyes. "just change and it will be fine."
horizon grumbled under his breath, picking up pyro's hot chocolate and handing it to the maroon haired boy. "here you go- i'm just going to take a shower and get the coffee smell off of me." his nose turned up in disgust.
a small snicker left pyro, "yeah yeah you go do that." he gratefully accepted the hot chocolate and sipped on it. a sigh of content left him as he leaned his head on alexis's. blissfully staring at the still on-playing movie.
