The next morning found Arabella walking down the stairs to the common room with her roommates, the boys sitting waiting for them.

Blaise stood up as the girls approached, smirking as sauntered up to Arabella. "Morning, gorgeous."

She laughed and winked at him, "Morning, handsome."

Someone cleared their throat behind them. Draco stood with his arms crossed, glaring viciously at Blaise who grinned cheekily back at him.

"Alright you lot, let's go already," Pansy called, already heading out the door. Arabella happily followed after her, sure that nothing would go wrong that morning.

Sitting at the Slytherin table, Arabella spotted Harry, Ron, and Hermione entering the hall. Apparently, they had been dubbed the "Golden Trio," but she absolutely refused to call them that. Even in her head.

"I'll be right back!" She began to get up, much to the confusion of her housemates. "Where are you going?"

"I'm just going to go say hello to someone." Arabella saw the Gryffindors take a seat at their table.

Pansy sighed dramatically, noticing where Arabella's gaze fell. "If you must."

Arabella laughed lightly and headed over to the opposite side of the hall. A hush fell over the table as she approached.

"Hermione!" Arabella came to a stop behind her.

Harry choked on his pumpkin juice across the table.

Hermione looked rather shocked to see her. "Bella, I-"

Before she could respond, another voice broke through the silence.

"What do you think you're doing here, snake?" A boy with a Irish accent sneered at her.

Arabella huffed a laugh derisively at the "insult."

The Gryffindor table broke out into hushed conversation, all eyes on Arabella to see what she'd do.

Arabella motioned for Hermione to move over on the bench, the girl doing so reluctantly. Arabella slid in beside her, crossed a leg over the other, and leaned across the table towards the boy who had spoken.

"Arabella Amour, pleasure to meet you." A shark like grin on her face, she extended her hand.

"S-Seamus," the boy stuttered as he shook her hand, clearly surprised by Arabella's actions.

"Well Seamus, 'what I'm doing here' is saying hello to my friend." She raised an brow. "Is there going to be a problem?"

All of the Gryffindor fifth years were now tuned in to the conversation.

Harry, who had been getting progressively more annoyed by the moment, banged a fist on the table, a look of pure rage on his face.

"Could everyone mind their own business?" He slowly drew his wand, causing the table to quickly turn back to their previous conversations, unwilling to further provoke their volatile classmate.

"Sorry Bella, we've never really met a good Slytherin." Harry gestured to the people around them. "They're not usually welcome over here."

"Who knows if evil is contagious," Ron spoke through a mouthful of food.

Excuse me?

"Not that we think you're evil, Bella," Hermione quickly reassured her.

Arabella scoffed. "But my whole house is?"

A glance around revealed Harry sheepishly looking away while Ron simply shrugged in agreement.

"Well, you see-" Harry started. Arabella cut him off.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize you knew every Slytherin at this school. Please enlighten me as to how the first years are evil." Arabella snarled. "You know, the literal children?"

"There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin."

Arabella stared at Ron in shock. "Are you serious?"

She stood up quickly, causing the silverware to rattle and attracting the attention of the table once more.

"You know, they warned me about you," Arabella spat. "They told me all about your Gryffindor egos and idiocy, how you would treat me now that I'm a 'snake' and I was stupid enough to give you the benefit of the doubt!"

She laughed derisively. "And to think you called the Slytherins prejudiced."

Arabella turned with a flourish, her robes billowing behind her.

She walked away with her head held high, ignoring the shouts of her name and refusing to look back.

Fucking Gryffindors.
