I set my bag on the chilled stone of the rooftop, cars whirred and passed in streaks of light. The hues of reds and yellows mixed together, making a beautiful orange light to contrast the navy blue that was the sky. Sighing I sat down looking at the dark abyss that held tiny white flecks of light dancing around in almost a slow waltz, The view was something I've yearned for, the exhilaration of being up so high with a view as perfect as this made me shiver in pleasure. Last time I was here was years ago, I remember being only six years old. My father, a kind soul, lead me up to our houses rooftop and showed me this view for the first time. I smile at the memory and close my eyes, taking in the sounds around me, the traffic lulling me to a comatose state. The frigid breeze brought me back to my senses as I got up, grabbed my sketchbook and sat at the edge of the rooftop. I wanted to draw, I sketched out the faint silhouette of the highway and the cars passing through it, humming as my hand glided across the paper. I was just finishing up as I heard someone yell, I looked down and saw a man, I couldn't hear what he was exactly saying but he looked scared, desperate even. I waved at him as I put my sketchbook down, I wonder who he is and why is he so upset. He looked around and left, frowning I looked up at the sky again. Why was he so upset, I hope he's okay. I went to get up but I heard a door slam open, I looked towards the sound and saw him. It was the man from the street. I gently smiled and waved, standing up fully as I did so. He looked quite pretty to be honest, fluffy brown hair with a burgundy beanie. The warm yellow of his sweater illuminated the rooftop, like the sun to the earth. Hi what are you doing up here? I put my sketchbook into my bag as I walk up to him. I came to help you, I saw you on the rooftop and wanted to stop you from whatever you're thinking of doing.I looked up at him in confusion, stopping me from what? Then it clicked. Oh my god you thought I was- I'm not going to jump I swear. I frantically told the man, my words jumbling together as I tried to calm him down. He just looked at me and smiled, taking a deep breath and sighing he smiled at me. That's a relief! I was worried there for a second. I'm Wilbur, you? He extended his hand as i laughed. I'm Y/N nice to meet you. I took his hand and smiled as we talked more, he was rather interesting to say the least. He was a streamer and musician, I was surprised to say the least, he was so fun to hang around with.
