Addison POV:
It was now Friday. I had packed Bryce and I's bag. I just needed to figure out how I was going to get him into the car. I knew that I needed the boy's help for this one. I texted Josh, letting him know to text Bryce to come to sway. I then told him I would drive. After I have been driving for 10mins, Bryce knew we weren't going to sway.
B: Angel, where are we going?
A: Bryce, I need you to trust me, please.
B: Okay, fine.
After two hours of driving, we finally made it. I looked at Bryce's face, and I could tell he was surprised. He knew exactly where we were at. This is the place in which we got away from the media and got to be alone. I took a picture of him with the polaroid camera.
A: Second time's a charm, right?
B: Really Adds.
A: Come on, one last rodeo before the babies, just you and me. Let's turn our phone off. I already ordered food.
B: Pizza?
A: Of course
Bryce POV:
Addison never failed to amaze me. I was so surprised by her actions. Even eight months pregnant, she was pulling tricks out of her sleeve. I knew the twins would have the best birthday parties and the best life. This is because Addison always knew what someone needed. You didn't need words to explain it to her. The pizza came. As I was about to pay, Addison gave him money.
B: So my fiance, I must ask what made you book this?
A: I mean, I wanted to show you how appreciative I was of you. This place worked the first time. It should work the second time, right?
B: You know, maybe we should buy a place up here at some point.
A: Like a vacation house?
B: Ya, for the twins and us
A: I like that
As soon as Addison finished eating, I brought her outside. I then jumped into the pool, and I looked at her. And she immediately jumped in. I grabbed the Polaroid camera by the pool and took a picture of us. Everything about doing the smallest things with Addison made me happy. I loved it when we were able to be us without any worries. Lately, it seemed like we were having less of us times, and I knew we wouldn't have that much time for ourselves when the babies come.
I ran a bath for Addison, and I am making sure to put lavender in it. To make us a little sleepy. I lit candles. And then pulled Addi into the bathroom. She looked over at me and smiled. We got into the tub together. And I pulled Addison against me. I began to stroke her hair. I was thankful for this short trip, even if we weren't gonna be here long. I wanted to come here as many times as possible because this was becoming our spot. Our first time here would create many more memories with countless polaroids to look back on. After our bath, we got into bed, and we took a photo in the bed.
Addison POV:
I woke up and made breakfast. It seemed to be our new tradition breakfast before we leave. I honestly wanted to buy this place. We were creating real memories here. I could imagine the twins running around this place and all of us out in the pool. A book full of polaroids to look at when the kids are older.
Bryce came walking out of the room. My amazing fiance, I had begun to question how I for so lucky with him. Or maybe we, in fact, both got lucky. It wasn't even a maybe. It was a fact we both had really got lucky. We sat down, and Bryce grabbed the polaroid. He took a photo of me. I slightly covered my face showing off the ring. Bryce drove us back home.
A: You know a lot has changed since our first time here.
B: Oh, ya like what?
A: We are engaged, pregnant, and stronger.
B: That is a lot, but it is so worth it. I love you, Addison, and I can't wait for more trips to Joshua Tree.
A: Ya, me too. But, with the twins.
*Time Skip to June 3rd.
Addison POV:
I was feeling sharp pains in my side. So I decided to get up to get some water. It was three in the morning. I didn't want to wake Bryce up. I wasn't even sure if these were contractions or not. I pulled out a bottle from the fridge and stood at the sink. I gripped the sink as I felt the pain again. It seemed as if it was getting worse and worse. I then heard footsteps come into the kitchen and the light turned on. I knew Bryce hadn't woken up. And I felt like he wasn't happy. I was two days over my due date, and I knew Bryce was extra cautious.
B: Addison, what is going on?
A: Babe, I am feeling sharp pains
B: You're in labor, huh
A: No
All of a sudden, my water broke, and there was a pool of water underneath me. I had to take a shower. I felt disgusting. I let Bryce know to call the godparents. His mom and my meme had gone back home. So the birth plan was to have Mads and Nessa there. They would be the first people to meet our angels. Bryce would be in the room, and the others would be outside.
Bryce POV:
I remained calm. I got the hospital bag and put it into the car. I texted the boys and let them know what was going on. It was 4 am so I knew they were either partying or sleep. I texted Mads and Nessa as well, just in case.
M: Is it really time?
B: Yes, we are on our way now.
We got into the car. I felt bad Addison was in a ton of pain, and I wanted to make it stop. I put my hand on her thigh so that she could squeeze it for the pain. I could tell she wanted to yell, but her birth plan was to remain calm. She thought if she were calm, pushing wouldn't hurt as bad. We made it to the hospital and got to the room. Addison changed into the hospital gown. She sat on the ball. I rubbed her bag, guiding her through her contraction, making sure to breathe with her so that she could remember her breathing.
Addison was finally able to push. It took a couple of pushes, and our baby boy was out. And with a couple of more pushes, my baby girl was out. It was crazy to think that they were finally here. I wouldn't be able to give them fist bumps and make them move to the side on which I was on. It drove Addison crazy, but that was my time with the twins. I would also not get to speak to them about our love story while Addison was asleep. But, now I would be able to hold them. And tell them a story every night and cuddled them.
I went into the waiting room and told the godparents to come in.
A: I would like you to meet Carter Braylin Hall, born on June 3rd, at 6:03. 6lbs, 6 inches
B: And Amara Blair Hall born on June 3rd at 6:06 6lbs and 3 inches
Jo: Aww, she is tinier than her brother.
N: I bet she will be the one sticking up for him
Ja: We are going to have to fight a lot of boys off
M: Nah, her big brother, will have it.
At this moment, there isn't anything that could make me think that Addison and I wouldn't last. I had just seen her in a stronger light. She was stronger. She just gave birth to two beautiful babies. If we survived this year, we would be able to survive anything, right?
* This story is done, you guys. But, I promise part 2 is already in the works and will be stronger than before. It will start with a lot.
