I wake up to the sound of rambling downstairs. I kind of freaked out a little, but slowly calmed myself down after realizing where I was again. My hair is still damp from the shower last night, and I quickly brush it before slipping downstairs.

I stop at the top to make out what they're saying.
"Should we take the one on Howard Street or Cathode?" Zayn pointed to a dot on a map spread out across the coffee table.

"Cathode. A lot less people, and easier to get away. We could park the van down the street." One of the men looked over at Zayn. I wish I knew the others' names.

I decided to continue walking down the stairs, and make as much noise as possible to make my presence known.

I continued stomping down them, until they finally heard me and snapped their heads back.

"I didn't know you were up." Zayn said, scrambling for all of the maps.

"It's cool. You don't have to hide them. If I'm gonna stay here, the least you could do is start off by being honest." I looked back and forth between the guys.

"And I'm really hungry. Do y'all even have food here?" I glanced through the kitchen cabinets, and refrigerator.

Everyone stayed silent, staring at me.

Zayn finally breaks the silence, "I can make you something." he followed after me.

"Okay. Like what?" I crossed my arms at him.

"Grilled cheese?" He cheekily smiled.

I want to laugh, but remember why I'm here.

"That's fine. Thanks." I turned on my heels and walked off.

I glance at him, and he looks kind of sad that I didn't smile back.

That's okay though, because he totally deserved it.

I run back upstairs and lay on the bed. It's nothing like my bed, soft with a pink comforter. I'd love to be in it right now. I grab my phone, still confused on why Zayn didn't take it. I could easily call the cops, or tell my mom where I am.

I have a thousand messages from her, things like "Where are you?!" "One of your teachers called saying you weren't there today." "Emma, I'm starting to worry. Please call me." "It's been two days and you haven't replied. I'm calling the cops soon."

I can't text back. I can't have her coming after me. There's no way I could live with myself if something happened to her. I can't risk her life for my stupid mistake of letting Zayn drag me here.

"Foods ready." Zayn yelled up the stairs.

I walked back downstairs and grabbed the plate from his hand, seeing the neatly decorated grilled cheese with three pickle slices on the side.
"Wow." I huffed and rolled my eyes.

"What? Is it bad?" He looked at me.

"Never seen a grilled cheese this fancy." I let out a laugh and take a huge bite.

He smiled and turned his head.
