Chapter 10: Returning home feeling depressed

Once the closing ceremony began, the elves listened to one last song as they slow danced. Inside the train before heading back to maple city, the kids were happy that Hawkeye got the first gift of christmas. When he and Irena sat together, the kids want to see the bell Hawkeye got.

Kid 1: "I'm excited to see the bell you got, Hawkeye."
Kid 2: "Yeah, let us see it."

Hawkeye removed it but he realized he left it at Santa's sleigh-o-usine and it's gone.

Hawkeye: "*Started to feel depressed* Oh no...I left the bell at Santa's sleigh-o-usine, now I'll never enjoy my life for christmas tomorrow."
Irena: "Oh dear...you left the bell at Santa's sleigh-o-usine? That's horrible."
Boogie: "Too bad, Hawkeye. You should've kept it with you."
Francis: "Don't worry man, you'll be fine. We can search the bell so we can bring it back to you, Hawkeye, right?"
Kid 3: "Let's find it before the train moves."
Kid 4: "There's no time for us to wait, let's go"
Irena: "You were right, Francis. We should go and search for the bell Hawkeye got."

Irena, Francis and the other kids tried to look for the bell Hawkeye got, until the train started to move and it was too late.

Francis: "Oh boy, guys. It's too late, now we'll never see Hawkeye's first christmas gift again."
Irena: "Hawkeye, I'm really sorry for not finding the bell, please do not get mad at me. We had fun heading to the north pole seeing Santa, everything will be ok when we let go of bad things."
Hawkeye: "I'm sorry too, Irena. Let's not have another fight just like when you lost your ticket and we tried to stop the back carriage from moving fast. But I had fun heading to the north pole with you."
Irena: "Thanks, you're my protector."

While on the way back to maple city, Boogie and Francis decide to sit together since they're starting to become friends and Hawkeye and Irena talked about some good and bad things.

Hawkeye: "Hey Irena, do sometimes good and bad things get in your way?"
Irena: "They do. My pet female white bunny passed away before my middle school graduation last year and I was sad to lose an animal, but I'm glad my family gave me a new one and it was a female gray bunny. I really like rabbits since they're my favorite animals. One time that night when I was four, I cried that I was scared to drown deep in the ocean and I couldn't swim my way out. When I thought an kraken appeared to kill me, but it was a friendly shark who saved my life and brought me back to the shore of the beach and my family found me so I can go to the doctor to recover. Although I still like the ocean and the beach, I can swim through my way under the ocean when the moonlight guides me. What about you Hawkeye, what is anything you can talk about?"
Hawkeye: "Well, during my eighth grade year of middle school this october, an active shooter had just broke into the building, so I told the students to get something as a weapon and fight. When an active shooter entered in my classroom, we acted aggressive and rough as we took him down. I was glad when an active shooter got arrested for destroying the middle school and it'll never happen again. During my 5th grade year of the 2177 - 2178 elementary school at the talent show when I stood up to the stage, I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and think about surviving the performance. When I opened my eyes, I did my hip-hop moves and rapped to the music were the crowd were cheering me on. I was happy that I nailed it since they're #1 fans to me."
Irena: "That's wonderful to here. We sometimes can talk about good and bad things of the past, some of the things were better and some of them were ugly. More importantly is that was a long trip to the north seeing Santa, wasn't it?"
Hawkeye: "Yep, good thing the monsters didn't killed us to death, but we're glad that we're safe during our adventure and I'm starting to feel better. Hoping the 2180s will never end since it's new era."
Irena: "*Chuckles* I know so too, it's sure nice heading back to maple city. The stars and the moon always guide us even though when the night sky's dark. *Yawn* I'm starting to sleep, let me know if we're back at maple city."

Irena became sleepy as she slept on Hawkeye's legs. So he made her comfortable by holding and patting her head gently while he watched over the night sky and listened to some relaxing music in his phone wearing headphones. On 1:40 AM when the train went on a complete stop at Boogie's house, Hawkeye calmly woke Irena up and let her knew that they're back at maple city. Francis and the other kids woke up from their naps as Boogie got out of the train, went inside of her home and realized her present under the tree was here. So she raised it up and was happy that she got her gift from Santa when the other kids watched her got excited for her gift and said goodbye to her. Once the train stopped at Hawkeye's house before he leaves, He, Irena and Francis have their conversation for the last time.

Francis: "Look man, don't worry about the bell you got from Santa. I'm glad you stood up by yourself without looking away and I was cheering you on. You were awesome getting the first christmas gift at the north pole, Hawkeye. And I'm sorry for teasing you if I made you frustrated during the trip. I promise I'll be in my better behavior since we're starting to be friends since 5th grade year of elementary school."
Hawkeye: "It's all good Francis, thanks for understanding what went great and wasn't during our adventure to the north pole. Hoping christmas will be an exciting holiday."
Francis: "Yeah. Anyway, I should get back to my seat so I can go back to my home too, goodbye and happy holidays. *Gave Hawkeye a handshake and left off to his seat*"
Irena: "Hawkeye, before you go, there's a confession I want to talk to you about. We've been best friends when we were kids for thirteen years. When I first met you at the train, it was hard being in love because we didn't had our own sweethearts since it's difficult to find love in our hearts. But when we worked as teammates, we helped as we survived together and I was happy that you're always with me back in kindergarten. And since we care about us, here's a special gift for you. *Kissed Hawkeye on the lips*"

Hawkeye and Irena kissed and hugged together and they're finally now in love since they're both happy as a romantic couple.

Irena: "From now on, we're a romantic couple. I love you, Hawkeye."
Hawkeye: "I love you too, Irena. I'll never forget you because we'll stay together forever, have a great christmas. See you anytime, my princess."
Irena: "You too, goodbye and merry christmas. We'll meet again at our first date, my hero."

Irena walked back to her seat and Hawkeye got out of the train when the conductor came and he thanked him for a long trip.

Hawkeye: "I had a long trip to the north pole I've ever went to, thank you."
Conductor: "No thank you, Hawkeye. One thing about the polar express is it doesn't matter where it goes, what matters is deciding get on."
Hawkeye: "Hoping my adventure taking to this train will never end, goodbye and have a excellent day."

Once the conductor got back onto the train and Hawkeye is at the front door of the house, he shouted to him with excitement when the train started to move.

Conductor: "*Shouting to Hawkeye* MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!"

Then Hawkeye looked at the roof up of the train and saw the phantom mage once again for the last time when he disappeared. He was happy he had fun going to a trip heading to the north pole. So he headed inside of the house quietly without making noise.
