Chapter 9: The first christmas gift

When the ceremony began, the instruments played songs and the crowd was cheering on as they're waiting to see Santa.

Irena: "Are you excited for the ceremony to begin?"
Boogie: "Yes, we all can't wait to see Santa come out, this is gonna be fun!"
Francis: "Let's hope that I get the first gift of christmas because I'm in 1st place."
Hawkeye: "More importantly is that we don't know who will it be. We just gotta watch and see what happens."

During the ceremony, the reindeers appeared to santa's sleigh as they jumped up and down. The elves also appeared with the bells ringing. However, Hawkeye realized something to him's going on when he heard it from his left ear, but one of the bells didn't ring after the elves attached the bells to the side of the reindeers.

Hawkeye: "*Talking in his mind* I think something weird's going on since one of the bells didn't ring yet. I'm not sure if I'm gonna get the first gift of christmas, This is a secret to us and this is gonna be very challenging to me, I just have to get my fingers crossed to see if I'm the chosen one."
Irena: "Hawkeye, are you alright?"
Hawkeye: "*Woke himself up* Ahhhhhhh...Yeah Irena, I shouldn't feel bad during the ceremony. Just watch when santa appears since it's no big deal. There's nothing to worry about."
Irena: "Ok, just wanna see if you feel uncomfortable, I can make you relax."
Hawkeye: "Uhh...I'm good. We should just continue watching it."

Hawkeye and Irena went back on where they left off as they continued watching the ceremony. Until the doors were opened and Santa came out of the center of the building when the crowd cheered him on.

Crowd: "*Cheering on Santa*"
Irena: "Hawkeye, he is finally here!"
Boogie: "Yay! Santa will come to my house and deliver my present."
Francis: "Yeah, man. Pick me for the first gift since I'm #1!"

The crowd was happy that santa's here, But Hawkeye saw one of the bells being loosed as it got off from the strap and fell into the ground. So he picked it up and tried to ring it as he tries to believe.

Hawkeye: "*Holding the bell while talking to himself* C'mon Hawkeye, don't give up. Just do on what you need to say while you ring the bell. You could do this. *Closed his eyes* I believe...I believe...I believe...I believe. *Opened his eyes and ringed the bell*"

When Hawkeye rang the bell, Santa came as he turned around when he was surprised to see him.

Santa: "What was that you said?"
Hawkeye: "I believe...I believe...I believe this is yours. *Showed the bell and gave it to Santa*"
Santa: "Well...thank you."
Francis: "*Waving to Santa* Hey, Hey, my name is Francis! I want the first gift, so-"
Irena: "Francis, what are you doing? You need to lower your voice."
Santa: "Francis...patience. And a smidgen of inspiration might also serve you well. "
Francis: "Yes, sir!"
Santa: "Young lady, what's your name?"
Irena: "*Introduced to herself* My name is Irena and I have a british voice since I was born in paris, france until I moved to america to live in maple city. My real name is Natalie since my family call me my real name. I'm a 2184 freshman since this is my first year of shinsoo international high, I'm going to be a sophomore next year."
Santa: "You young lady Natalie Irena, a lady of decisions, full of beauty and peacefulness making christmas legacy. Ho-ho-ho, keep making your legacy come to life."
Boogie: "My name is Boogie, I'm always the bravest girl in maple city."
Santa: "And Boogie. Is it you, Boogie? Well, I see you've made new friends."
Boogie: "*Nodded her head* Yes, I did made new friends when I first moved to maple city this year."
Santa: "*Chuckles* That's a lucky lad. There's no greater gift than friendship. And speaking of presents...let's have this young fellow right here."

The crowd were cheering on Hawkeye since he got the first gift of christmas and he was happy. So he walked up to Santa's sleigh-o-usine to ask him what he wants for christmas.

Santa: "Young man, what's your name?"
Hawkeye: "I'm Hawkeye, my real name is Matthew and I live in maple city. I'm a 8th grade 2181 student and I'll be starting to study at shinsoo international high next year after graduation."
Santa: "Why hello, Matthew Hawkeye. It's so nice to see you. I heard you've been a good boy this year since you're a loyalty and determined young man. Now, what would you like for christmas?"
Hawkeye: "Myself."
Santa: "You?"
Hawkeye: "*Secretly whispered into Santa's ear*"
Santa: "Yes, indeed, hm, yes indeed. *Stood Up and raised the bell in the air* THE FIRST GIFT OF CHRISTMAS!"

The crowd were cheering since the bell is the first gift of christmas and Hawkeye is really a good boy this year.

Santa: "*Showed the bell to Hawkeye* This bell is a symbol of the spirit of christmas...as I am. *Chuckles* Just remember...the true legacy of christmas lies in your heart."

Santa gave the bell to Hawkeye until it stroke 12. The conductor came to tell Hawkeye in a safe place.

Conductor: "Better keep the bell in a safe place, Hawkeye."
Irena: "*Cheered with excitement* Congratulations, I love you Hawkeye."
Boogie: "Woo-hoo! You're our hero to us!"
Francis: "Yeah! Way to go, man. Great job being in first place.

However, Hawkeye placed it in the wrong pocket that got ripped and it left it in Santa's sleigh-o-usine. Then he and the conductor came back to the kids and saw Santa and the reindeers drove away to the sky. So the elves threw their hats up in the air and threw an awesome party, leaving the other elves place the back carriage to reattach back to the train. The conductor looked at his compass realized it's finally time for the kids to head back to their homes.

Conductor: "*Shouting* ALL ABOARD!!!"

The conductor is hole punching the kids's golden tickets again and he's making words inspired by them. Francis's ticket says "Learn", Irena's ticket says "Lead" and Boogie's ticket's special since the words changes. Before Hawkeye can get into the train, he gave the ticket to the conductor, secretly hole punched it to "Believe" passed it back to him.

Hawkeye: "Wow, my ticket says-"
Conductor: "*Interrupted Hawkeye* Don't...you already know what the word is since I saw you got the first gift of christmas. It's been a long adventure for us heading to the north pole, but for now, it's time to head back to maple city and rest up."
Hawkeye: "Yep, I'm tired from all the things I did during my winter trip. I must go home now to get back to sleep. Thanks for taking me to the north pole."

Hawkeye and the conductor went inside of the train to return to maple city.
