I sighed happily as I got up from the bed and walked over to the mirror. I took a piece of my hair that wasn't as curly anymore and started twirling it so it would go back to the way it was earlier.
I smiled as hands snaked around my waist and a head rested on my shoulder. I looked at the man I loved through the mirror who was smiling at me.
"Good morning, love," He said still with his husky morning voice. I turned around and placed my lips on his feeling all types of feelings as we kissed each other with passion and love.
"Best morning in my life," I said as we pulled away from each other and leaned our foreheads against each other.
"And why is that?" He asked cheekily pulling away from me and walking over to the bed and pulled his shirt back on that I didn't mind staying off.
"Because I woke up by your side," I said walking over and wrapping my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me, he smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
"I thank Allah that he gave me you when I needed you most," He said pushing a piece of my hair behind my ear as I smiled shyly up at him.
"I'm the lucky one to be in love with a man like you," I said pulling his lips down and kissing him, I knew I couldn't keep him one more day to myself because, in the end, he wasn't just Suleiman the man I loved and married but Suleiman Khan the tenth sultan of the Ottoman empire.
"Help me get dressed," He said walking over to the door and knocking on it letting the guards in with all of the items he would be wearing for the council meeting today. When they placed his clothes on the bed he dismissed them with a shake of his hand, they bowed and left the room.
I walked over to him after he wore his pants and shirt, I wrapped his belt that was made out of gold and jewels around his waist and fastened it so it won't fall off. He turned around and spread his arms for me to fit in his sleeves before he pulled it up and turned around to face me again so I could fix it and pat it down.
"You look handsome as ever, my love," I said walking over to the table and picking up the box with his jewelry in, and walked back over to him, I placed his rings on his fingers. I picked up his hat and placed it on his head after he sat down on his bed that serves as a throne too, he didn't do it for himself only he sat so I could reach his head and place the hat upon it.
"There, all ready for the council meeting," I said, taking a couple of steps back to admire the man in front of me, he looked magnificent and his power was rolling off of him in waves making me weak in the knees as his stern gaze met mine.
I walked out of his room and down the golden road with my head held high. I stopped in front of the harem doors and watched as the girls walked to the middle and all bowed to me without daring to look up at me. I looked back in front of me when I heard footsteps to see Hurrem walking over with her head held high.
"Sultanim" She said bowing almost mockingly making me roll my eyes but nothing she could do or say could ruin my mood after spending two days with Suleiman after we got married.
"Hurrem hatun" I acknowledged and was about to walk away but stopped when she took a deep breath and started talking again.
"Have you heard that his majesty wishes to take me and the princes with him hunting" She said, making me stop dead in my tracks and turned around to face her.
"And your son Osman will be among us, but you I am not sure if he wants to take you with us or not," She said, smirking as my smile dropped and a frown took over my face. I looked up at the valide balcony that looked down at the entire harem where Mahidevran stood glaring down at Hurrem and when our eyes met she nodded to confirm what she was saying. He was taking both his women and leaving me behind, his wife.
