Chapter 4- Keep Calm...

Bri's P.O.V.

        I woke up late in the morning; we'd stayed up for a long time at the Youtube building. I staggered to my feet, and stumbled into the hallway with a headache. I wasn't used to the dimmer light since I had spent the entire night playing a bright-screened PC game. It was Minecraft, of course. As my vision adjusted to the light, I walked down the hall to Dani's room. There were muddy footprints in front of the door, and a little drop of blood. I could tell since the wood was a light color.

        This can't be good, I thought. I opened the door to find half of Dani's belongings shattered on the floor. I searched the room for Dani, or even a body. She had put up a fight, at least. Who could've done this!? I started to panic as I thought about it more. "Dani? Dani! Danielle!" I called for her, even using her full name. I dashed into the hallway. "Dani!" I screamed. Adam staggered into the hallway, towards me, quickly. "What's the matter?" He asked, grabbing my shoulders.

        "Dani... she was kidnapped!" I said, hot tears running down my cheeks. "It'll be alright. We'll find her," Adam said, leaning in for a kiss. I smacked his lips away. "No! Not right now," I said, while Adam looked kind of annoyed and kind of hurt. "We need to find her. She's my best friend..."

        "What are you guys talkin' about...?" Mitch said, leaning against the doorway of his room. "Dani's missing! She was kidnapped!" I said again. "What?!" Mitch dashed down the hallway and skidded into Dani's room. There was a moment of silence, and then a loud wail, one I've never heard before, but I knew it was Mitch. "Come in here," He said, coming out after a minute of wailing. Adam and I walked in; I was shaking, but Mitch was worse.

        Mitch's eyes were red and swollen, and tears ran down his face--something I'd never expect to see from him. "Look," He said, his voice cracking. He pointed to a note on the wall. The note read: "Don’t bother looking; she’s long gone. She will die with knives and cats. See ya, suckers."

        "Oh.... oh no..." I whimpered. Mitch bowed his head, quietly sobbing. "He doesn't give us much of a hint," Adam commented quietly. After a few moments, the tree walked back into the hallway. Sean, Jerome, Jordan, and Toby were all standing there. "Where's Mark?" I asked suddenly. Everyone just shrugged. I walked over to his room and opened the door. There was someone laying in the bed; Mark was asleep. "He's asleep. Let him stay there; we're going to find Dani."
