It had been 3 hours since i left Arthur and Longwood. I walked down a narrow pathway which then expanded into a hillside of fresh green grass, where the flowers bloomed as bright as the sun, and the air was as sweet as honey. Funny, i had never seen this place before , neither had my mother or father mentioned it. I strolled across the garden of enchanting colors wondering how a place could hold so much magic. I looked around but all i saw were the glowing gems standing tall and proud. Over in the distance i saw what seemed to be a shape. I squinted a little harder. A person! I had never been this happy to see another human. Without thinking i sprinted over. As i got closer, i realized it was a girl. Lilly? could it be? no. She was much taller than Lilly. I edged closer and closer until i could see her face. Whoa.

I had never seen someone more beautiful.  Her eyes, that shone like emeralds, were calm and emotionless. Her long, wavy blonde hair, so smooth and silky, almost as if it was tailored from gold fabric, was swaying in the wind. Her perfect skin that looked so fragile yet so soft and the unerring amount of freckles around her nose made her cheeks the color of pink roses and eyelashes longer than anyone i had seen, stand out. I got up and walked towards her. Slowly. She turned around in a hurry as i approached her. I must have startled her as she took a few steps back, regaining her balance on time. 'Oh i'm sorry. Did i startle you?' i asked in my softest voice. I could not take my eyes off her. She was absolutely mesmerizing. I caught myself staring into her eyes so i quickly looked away. I must have turned bright red as she let out a small giggle. I looked up at her and she smiled. I felt like i was going to burst. 'Haha yeah you did but its okay. I'm Olivia, Olivia Brown. And you are?' i opened my mouth to answer but the words wouldn't come out. 'I....i'm.....Lucas, Lucas Carter.' I dashed a quick smile at her. 'Oh nice to meet you!' she exclaimed. She put out her hand to shake mine. I smiled and took it. Her skin really was soft like the clouds. I let go, trying not to show my excitement. ' So Lucas' She....she said my name! 'what are you doing here?'

'i...don't suppose you have heard about the fire?' i asked. Her spring clover colored eyes widened. 'Your from there too aren't you?' 'yes. are you from there too?' I asked, the shock was clear on my face. 'yeah. i came looking for my brother, Ash.' she looked down . 'I came looking for my parents! you want to go together?' Her face lit up. 'Yes!' she smiled. 'Okay. I'm pretty sure Arthur put a tent in here' I opened my large bag to find a green tent rolled up in the corner. I started building it. It took me about 15 minutes to finish making it. Olivia yawned and closed her eyes. 'You tired?' i asked in a calm voice. 'Quite' She gave me weary smile. I gave her the blanket and she lay down beside me and almost instantly fell asleep. I looked at her, sound asleep and wondered what she could be dreaming about. She could be in another world or even in another universe. I turned around and tried to fall asleep.

Somehow i managed to fall asleep but now i was awake. I glimpsed at the glowing and radiant sun peaking above the horizon out of the tent. It extended its vivid light across the deep crimson sky. Its dazzling and inviting rays flowed through the window of my tent providing warmth to my body. I saw Olivia still tucked in the blanket. I grabbed my bag and got out the food Arthur packed for me. I crawled over to Olivia and whispered 'Rise and shine. its time to eat' She slowly arose and rubbed her eyes. She looked at me and with a smile and said good morning. We sat there and ate. We talked and i got to learn so much about her. She told me how her mother and father died and she lived with her brother. I'm glad i found her. She made everything better.

After a few hours, we packed up and started our journey once again. Olivia was short for a 15 year old. She was about 5'4 but i found it cute. I was 5'8 which made me feel more like a man standing next to her. Mother said i still had a lot of growing to do. I looked over at Olivia who was looking at the ground. She walked as her hair fluttered in the air, her clothes clung to her body, arms tightly wrapped around her. She shivered in the wind. I stopped and dropped my bag. I realized i was wearing a jacket and i gave it to her . It was blue which matched with her blue jeans and purple top. She looked at me and smiled. She took it and wrapped it around her and let out a sigh. I picked up my bag and we kept moving.
