"Why can't you stop drinking and actually go out on missions for once! I can't keep going with Pantherlily, the jobs we do aren't getting us enough money!" Levy yelled.
Gajeel only ignored her, taking another swig of beer, and throwing the bottle onto the ground, shattering it's glass.
"Are you even listening?!" Levy asked Gajeel.
His already red eyes were staring at the TV lacrima, changing the channel ever so often.
Levy let out a frustrated cry and stomped up to their shared room, slamming her head into a pillow, and screaming into it. Her stubby legs kicked at the mattress as tears welled up in her eyes.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Gajeel had gotten on the phone.(I'm calling it a phone because transportation lacrima is the longest fucking name I've ever typed)
He was drunkenly complaining about Levy's 'nagging'.
"Man...she's gettin' on my nerves with her constant bitching. You seriously need to come here, I'm tired of her trying to get me to work, I know we need money, hell I've tried to go out on missions but those things aren't for me anymore, she should just be a stripper or something, that'd get good money rollin' in. Maybe even some good entertainment for me too." He said into the phone.
It was silent for a moment, and Gajeel cackled loudly.
"You'll be here soon?! Hell yeah! Get your ass down here ASAP! Hah? No worries you can stay here, we have an extra room." Gajeel answered.
Silence once again...
"Alright man, see ya when ya get here. Bye." Gajeel said, he then hung up the phone and went to grab another beer.
He grabbed a fork from the drawer, mentally noting that they needed more forks, mostly because he's been eating them all, and walked back to the couch.
He was actually in a much better mood than before, now that he had gotten great news. He then turned his head up and looked at the top of the stairs.
"Levy!" He called.
It was silent for a good 45 seconds, until he called her again.
"Levy!"
He heard small grunts and soft footsteps walk to the edge of the first stair.
"What?" She asked, her voice was hoarse, and low, as if she was sad.
"Go and clean the guest room, someone's comin' over." He told her.
Levy, not really wishing to reply back to him, went to keep herself busy.
Normally, she would ask Pantherlily to do it, because she was so tired, but he wasn't here as of now, he was out on a mission.
She cleaned until she felt like she was going to drop, that's what she'd do. Gajeel would mess up something, and force her to clean it until he was satisfied, and that was usually around when she was just about to drop to her knees and pass out.
Their relationship wasn't always like this, when they first started dating, they were happy, working, and inseparable.
The bad thing is, Gajeel started drinking and all went to hell.
Levy went from his beloved girlfriend, to his peasant maid. At least that's how she felt. Every time she tried to talk to him about it, he'd ignore her, or push her away like it wasn't important.
She finished fluffing the pillows of the bed, and left the room.
"When is this mystery person coming?" Levy asked her boyfriend.
"He said in about a day or so." Gajeel replied.
"Who is he?" Levy asked, crossing her arms.
"Why the hell are you asking so many damn questions?" Gajeel asked.
"It's a simple question, just answer it!" Levy said.
Gajeel got up, and pushed past Levy to their room. Levy heard the door slam, and the click of the lock.
She growled and kicked the side of the couch.
"I hate this!" She cried. She grabbed her phone and went to call up her best friend, Lucy.
She always knew how to make her feel better, so she could temporarily forget about this day.
"Hey Lu...you free tonight?" Levy asked.
"Well. Aside from Natsu trying to take me on another mission, yeah I think." Was the reply.
Levy's tense shoulders relaxed as a small smile made itself known on her face.
"Well that's something. You wanna hit up a bar tonight? I know a great place..." Levy said.
Despite how she hated Gajeel drinking, she drank as well, but not as much as he did, and it was always usually a glass or two of wine, or maybe a margarita, but nothing more than that, especially since she couldn't hold her liquor.
"Sure! Meet at the guild in like...an hour and a half?" Lucy asked.
"Yes! You know me so well." Levy said as she got up and walked upstairs.
She tiptoed to her shared room with Gajeel, and heard him snoring, so she tiptoed to the guest room, and went in the closet, pulling out a box that had clothes in it.
She would usually put some extra clothes in this closet because Gajeel has locked her out of the room multiple times, and thank god there was a bathroom in the hallway for her to use.
She changed into a cute short and black dress that hugged her curves and pushed up her butt. She decided to wear her black, glittery heels as well, she looked in the mirror, happy with her outfit, and styled her hair up, putting a little bit of makeup on to entice her looks, and finished a few touch ups.
She then quietly made her way downstairs, and exited the house, not bothering to let Gajeel know she was leaving, it wasn't like he would care anyways.
She grabbed her phone, a sad frown on her face once she saw her Lock Screen.
She closed her phone and put it in her purse, she quickly made her way to the guild, and patiently waited for Lucy, not bothering to go inside the guild, for everyone in there was loud and 10 times out of 10, drunk.
"Hey Levy-chan!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Hi Lu! Ready to go?" Levy asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be! Let's go!" Lucy said and grabbed Levy's hand, catching a cab and making their way to the bar/club.
