The Villain

Chapter 2

Sapnap and quackity sit at the edge of the border, patrolling. They can't let Tommy in, no matter how much he begs.

"I'm gonna go get more weapons, I'll be back Sap. Don't let Tommy in, no matter how much he begs and pleads." Quackity walks away, which gives Tommy the cue to walk up to sapnap. He's much more weak alone.

"Heyyy Sappy, what's up?" He tries to act like they're best friends.

 "I'm not letting you in, Tommy. Sorry."

"Please?" 

 "No." Sapnap shakes his head. 

 "You know Dream's using you, right? He doesn't care about you, at all. If he did, he'd let you hang out like everyone else. In a heartbeat, he'd exile you. He only wants power. And he's using YOU to get it." Tommy doesn't even hesitate. He has to show Sapnap the truth, that, no matter what, power was always going to be most important to Dream. Sapnap just shakes his head.


"Surely I matter to him, or else I would've been exiled by now. Your efforts are in vain, Tommy. Your hurtful words won't ever work, because they're not true. Now leave, before I kill you right here. You have one life left, don't waste it on this." Tommy sadly walks away. He thought it would work, that sapnap was more weak than that. But no, he was wrong.He sits, thinking up another plan. Maybe quackity was more vulnerable?

 Tubbo sits in Tommy's old house, minutes before they're about to remodel it. What has he done? Why did he exile Tommy, his best friend? He messed up, big time. He has to help Tommy get back in. He has to convince Dream.

"Dream?"

"Hmm."

"Maybe we could let Tommy back in?" Tubbo suggests.

"Why would I do that, he would mess up my whole plan."

"But think about it... maybe if you let him back in it'll give you more power."

 "I'm listening."

"Wouldn't it be better to have Tommy on your side? Instead of against you? Then you can assure he won't be in the way. And he's very powerful, much more powerful than any of us realize."


 "I don't think he's worth risking the plan. Tommy is unreliable, and he will flake the second we really need him as long as he sees something he wants. And he wants power, too. He can't get that on my side."

"Yes he can, we just have to give him something worth his time."

"No, I'm not letting him back in. End of discussion, now go help Karl turn Tommy's house into an armory. I'll exile you too if I have to." He nods his head over to the door.

Tubbo doesn't say anything as he walks out. He can't do anything to help Tommy, which hurts. But he has to take care of himself too. He has to look out for himself, before he gets exiled too. He can't do anything but help Karl with the armory.

"Karl, what if we revolted? I'm sure Dream wouldn't notice if two weapons were missing..." Tubbo says.

"Wha- no no no we can't. He'd exile us. And we both know what happens if we get exiled. We can't. No." Karl freaks out.

"Karl... we can't stay under dreams power, you know that right? He's dangerous. Too dangerous. We HAVE to revolt before it's too late."

"We're too weak alone... we'd need more people. Besides, I can't revolt against Sapnap. And he'd never be on our side, he cares about Dream too much."

"We just need to show him the truth, the full truth. He's being used and taken advantage of. Once he sees, he'll WANT to revolt."

"If you can get sapnap... maybe. But we don't have much time before Dream gets too powerful. You need to hurry. Go stash these weapons somewhere... safe. Hurry."

 Tubbo rushes and puts a chest in the ocean when nobody is looking. He puts the weapons there and covers it. Hopefully nobody finds it... He thinks to himself. Now he has to find sapnap, if he can convince sapnap then he can get Tommy and have a powerful army. He might need Technoblade too.

 He runs to the border and sees Sapnap.

"Nobody in or out, kings orders. Sorry." He looks down.

"I'm not trying to leave, I need to talk to you."

 "I'm not supposed to be talking to anyone, hurry before quackity gets back."

"We need to revolt against dream... he's too powerful and dangerous."

"No way... I can't do that and neither can you."

 "Sapnap, he's using you. Taking advantage of you. He doesn't care about you at all, he just wants power. He wants power over everyone on the smp, including you. You're not exempt from that."

"Tommy said the same thing, and it's not true. He cares about me and George, more than anything."

 "Then why isn't he with you right now, helping you and talking to you? Why don't you get a break? Quackity does... why don't you?"

 "I- I'm sure I'll get one soon."

"No, you won't. Please sapnap, try to see the truth. Dream wouldn't hesitate to exile you."

"Exactly, which is why I can't turn against him. It's safer on his side."

"Don't you see how dangerous he is? This much power changes people. He's going to be different, he's not going to care about you or your feelings. You'll see that soon, you will." Tubbo turns to walk away.

"Wait! What happens if I revolt?"

 "We either take the power back or... we all get exiled. But I'm sure he wouldn't exile all of us, then he wouldn't have power over anyone."

"Fine... but you better be ready for a fight. Dream doesn't back down. And he's powerful, you're right. You need to prepare." Tubbo nods.

 Sapnap continues patrolling while tubbo walks back to karl.

"Sapnap agreed, it's revolt time." Karl shakes his head.

 "Haha, no it's not." Dream chuckles. Karl looks at tubbo as if to apologize. "Did you really think you could turn against ME? I'm way too powerful, tubbo. I have ears everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Don't worry, I won't exile you just yet. I'm going to let the people decide! If everyone else wants you exiled, then you're gone forever. You can be with Tommy."

"If you exile me, you'll lose some power. You can't exile everyone, or you won't have anyone to control. You'll see that soon enough. Power isn't always the best. I learned that, and soon you will too." Dream just laughs again.

"You really think you can teach me? Power IS the best. It really is. Because I get something none of you have, and that's control. A kingdom. Everything I've ever wanted. I CAN exile everyone, because at the end of the day I still control who comes in or out. I control who does what, and when. I control that, not you. Not Tommy. Not sapnap. Me. Get out of my sight, before I really exile you. Also, next time maybe don't hide weapons in the ocean. Find a better hiding spot." He chuckles again.

Tubbo walks out, defeated. Karl turned on him... why? He thought he was convincing enough. Apparently not. Maybe he doesn't need to revolt... maybe he needs to turn people against Dream, the people he cares about. If he sees what he's lost, maybe that'll be enough to show him that power isn't everything he thought it would be.

 He'll start with George.
