Curiosity killed the cat

School was over finally! I go to 7-11 every day after school but for some reason today was weird. Maybe because it was the first day of school? "Hey Mani, long time no see" I said leaning over the counter flashing a big smile. Me and Mani are best friends, she works here so she's the main reason i come every day. "Hey Ash! Yeah why didn't you come during summer?" She asked giving a confused look, "I was at summer camp" I sighed "Well my mom said to come back early so i gotta blast!" I said smiling while walking away. "I should get some Doritos" I thought as i heard some commotion coming from the break room. I brushed it off because a lot of people fuck in there. But it was getting louder like banging and yelling, he must've been doing it hard. But why so loud theres people here...As i got a slurpee i was getting more curious of what was going. There was definitely no fucking going on in there, "Now who has the NewGenic formula!" a kind off familiar but un-familiar voice said from the room. "Roleplay?" I said under my breath while paying for my food, "What?" Mani said checking my food out. "Uh, nothing, er i think i forgot something be right back" I said stepping away from the counter. I slowly walked to the break room. "Im gonna get so much shit for this..." I thought taking a deep breath as i put my hand on the doorknob gently. I exhaled as i flung the door open. "Chloe?!" "Ashley?!"

There she was, Chloe holding an old fats man shirt collar, with the man with cuts and bruises. "Oh my god are you assaulting this poor man?! I knew you were i trouble" I said with a shocked face pulling her of off him. "What?! Ashley you're too dumb to understand now go away!" Chloe said crossing her arms. "Thanks doll for saving me" Suddenly the fat man threw me into the wall and grabbed Chloe. Everything felt like it went in slow motion, the man swung Chloe into the table. Chloe stabbed the man with a pen and slammed him into a wall,then he got on her and started choking her. I struggled to get up it felt like my brain wouldn't let me get up. I looked around for something to grab and saw a potential weapon. Then a big wave of adrenaline flew threw me. "Get off of her!" I yelled as i hit his head with a chair. The man let out a big groan and fell to the ground, "Wow Ashley didn't know you had that in you" Chloe said with a slight giggle. "OK WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" I yelled as Chloe put her hand over my mouth, "Shhhh!" Chloe shut the door and sat me down. "So i guess i owe you an explanation." Chloe said with a look of dread on her face, "Yes! Are you spy or something!?" I yelled but also kept my voice down. "Actually, yes and if you repeat anything i'll end you!" Chloe yelled in my face, "Gosh don't have a cow...Hey what's NewGenic?" I said out of curiosity. "Nothing you need to know about remember "curiosity killed the cat"" She smiled and left. I was stunned, she left like NOTHING happened now theres a dead fat man on the ground and the room is a mess. I shot up and ran out the room. "Hey you can't leave like that!" I said still stunned on what happened, "You're right" she said in a surprisingly sincere tone "Meet me behind the school tomorrow" she said as she walked out. I sighed and picked up my things, "Who was that-" Mani said with a confused look "Also aren't you gonna be late for dinner?". "Oh shit you're right! Gotta dip!" I yelled as i darted away.

It was so dark, i was sure everyone was done eating dinner...My mom was going to kill me!

I slowly opened the door to prevent it creaking but of course that doesn't work. "About time!" my mom yelled while my siblings played Mario Kart, "I'm sorry mom i lost track of time!" I said quietly trying not to trigger her. "Ashley i told you to get back home at 8pm and now it's 10pm!" She yelled, "I'm sorry i WILL NOT do it again!" I said holding back my tears. Im sensitive. "Good because if you do it again you won't be able to go to 7-11 after school again" She yelled "Now go to your room.", I walked to room and jumped face first into my bed. "Today was not a good day" I mumbled, I got up and put my snacks in a box and put them under my bed. I looked over to see my dinner on my dresser. "Hm, still hot" I said as i picked it up.
