Alanza's POV

I am walking home late at night after finishing my midwife gig, both of the security guards are at home protecting my girls and the staff. I have my black midwife bag with some pepper spray and some of my pay inside the bag. I swear I feel a presence, I can handle myself in a fight, but I am not a fighter. I can use my powers, but I am more of a healer. I am dressed in a men's black hoodie and sweatpants because I am not getting my good clothes dirty delivering a baby.

The baby girl had trouble breathing, so I used my powers to help her secretly. The parents only knew that I was an eccentric midwife. I remember a powerful supernatural presence at church today, which had me worried about my girls safety. I ushered everyone out of the church as soon as it was over and headed straight home. I will deal with the supernatural person later.

I was deep in my thoughts when I felt a hard body slam me against a brick wall. How do I know that it was not only a man, but a vampire? I am able to sense other supernaturals unlike my girls, I smelled men's cologne, and this giant has the body of a Greek god. "I have finally found you, my Bride," says the vampire. I am thinking to myself, Shit. I prayed that he made a mistake because the last thing I need is an out of control mate.

Unlike my girls, I can see in the dark perfectly. I see a man who is over six feet, copper-skinned, nice lineup, gray eyes with a shine on them, early thirties, beautiful face, a powerful aura, and built like a model. This guy kept looking at me like a girl would look at a diamond. He seemed satisfied with the way I look because his thing was excited. Tell me why he smashes his lips onto mine like I was going to war overseas and I might not make it back? My first kiss is from a crazed vampire claiming that I am his bride. This strange man starts to kiss my neck like we were a young couple necking. All of a sudden, he bites my neck; I am trying to push him off but pushing him was like pushing a wall. I am too panicked to use my powers, I am trying to think of a spell when I slowly succumb to darkness.

John Smith POV

I felt my Bride go limp and I started to panic. I release her neck to check her pulse; her pulse is faint. I've never lost control like that before. She had a powerful aura to her, and she smelled of magic practitioner, blood, and afterbirth. Did my Bride just have a child?  If she did, why was she out so late? The thought of  being alone like this and with another man angered me.

I found the bag she had and looked through it. So my little bride is a midwife, it relaxed me so much. I scooped her and her belongings up, and ran back to my coven. I have never been so grateful for the healer being home right now. Red tears were streaming down my face as I prayed that my Bride isn't going to die after I just met her. The healer gently grabbed my Bride from my arms and ran to our clinic. I cradled her bag to my chest out of fear that I just murdered my Bride after looking for her for 300 years.
