You know a lot of the times I feel like a trophy.

I get that its a random thought but to me its completely a reality.

Normally if a trophy looks big, shiny, or pretty people tend to be more drawn towards it and want to win it more.

While, if its rusty and cracked well many people would just call it trash and not be able to look past its appearance.

Somedays like a trophy I feel that I have to dress up or put out a good appearance so people will want to be with me and cherish me.

Next, I feel like I'm constantly being judged.

No one will want to hang out with a 5th place so I need to give it my all to succeed in life.

I can't think of one person who'd show off their last place award so why would anyone want to show off me.

Even if I do manage to come out on top, get a win, or an achievement there always has to be a better prize or thing to win next so I'm always overlooked.

Another thing I feel I can relate with is just being a participation award.

I feel like people just give me things out of pity and feel that I don't really deserve anything greater than that.

When your little a cheap medal might excite you but as I've grown older I realized that really they just don't want you to feel embarrassed in front of a crowd or, they just don't want to single you out as the pure loser.

This comes off as sweet but in reality I know that people just want to be accepted and fit in with society so they'll give themselves a prize simply just for showing up and applying no effort.

Also, at the end of the day a trophy really doesn't hold a huge value.

Ya it might show that you've accomplished something by having a physical object rewarding you for it but, in the end of the day you don't need a piece of metal or plastic to prove that you have done something great.

It should be a recognition from inside of you that you should be proud you shouldn't need the approval of others or a competition to prove your worth but still to many people getting that trophy will mean they're accomplished.

Some people don't even care if they've cheated or sabotaged someone else on there way to success cause in the end its all about winning and I just can't wrap my head around how that's the case.
