The figure turned on the lamp and I saw it was Madam.

"You gonna shoot me?" She asked laughing at me. I shrug and put my gun in my purse and sit it down on the coffee table next to the door.

"The fuck you popping up in my shit for?" I ask crossing my arms and looking at her. She had a devious look on her face and it was nerve wracking. She had already did something to Jasmine now she popping up at my house? Am I next?

"How did the gig go tonight? You look beautiful by the way." She asks as she smoothly sat back and lit a blunt. I kick off my shoes and go into the kitchen. I poured myself a glass of wine.  Obviously she wanted to talk.

"It went well. I thought I would be nervous because the people were gonna be uppity and stick their nose up at me. But they had too much going on to even notice me." I say walking out of the kitchen and sitting next to her on my couch. The smell of the weed was intoxicating and I wanted to some.

"They weren't stuck up?" She asked exhaling the smoke. I reach my hand out and she passed me the blunt.

"They definitely were but their dirty laundry was so evident that it made me feel comfortable. But let's talk about you, why are you here?" I ask really wanting to get to the point so she can get out of my apartment. I was tired and this blunt was making me sleepy.

"So your roommate went missing. And I heard the police came and paid you a visit to find out where she is." I sighed taking a big puff of the blunt. I was hoping to avoid this conversation.

"Honestly, I told them that I know nothing. I mind my business and do my own thing. Jasmine is old enough to handle herself. Maybe she went on vacation or met some new people." I say shrugging I look at Madam and she looked at me with a look I had no name for. I didn't understand how she was feeling but I'm sure I was about to find out.

"What do you know?" She asked hitting the blunt and then passing it back to me.

"Nothing like I said. All I know is I been minding my business. I just wanna mind my own fucking business." I say before taking a big hit. She slowly nodded her head and I sat back and exhaled the smoke from my body.

"If you don't wanna join your friend then you'll keep it like that." She said quietly but enough so I could hear it. My head snapped towards her and she sat back like she was glad to say that.

"Excuse me?!? You must have forgotten who you talking to!" I ask looking over at her. I couldn't believe she would say that type of shit to me. Bitches let my pretty face fool them, but I will survive at all costs.

"I know exactly who I'm talking to. You need to keep your fucking mouth closed! I don't have time for this drama we already in because of you." She threatened me for the first time ever. Madam never raised her voice at me before. I was with her since the beginning and I have seen her do a lot of shit and I never told a soul. So why the fuck she think I'm gonna start talking now?

"I don't know if you forgot but let me remind you, I'm not a snitch ass bitch. I been in the streets and I know the game!" I advise her furrowing my eyebrows in disbelief. She was questioning my whole identity and who I am.

"I know how bitches get when the heat on them! Most of y'all crack under pressure. That's why I said what the fuck I said. Just in case you thought about cracking." She yells sitting up on the couch edge of the couch. I don't know what pissed me off more, her actions or the fact that she comparing me to the next bitch. Or the bitch popping up at my house!

"I mind my fucking business! And I keep my fucking mouth shut. You must have forgot my ex locked down. You think he went on the run with no help?I'm not these other bitches you be fucking with."  I recite my resume in case she forgot.
