Estella's POV
I cautiously made my way towards the direction I heard the scream come from, my heart pounding rapidly in my chest. I could feel sweat form on my forehead, and I accidentally stumbled over my own foot. My head was telling me to run in the opposite direction and never look back, but my curiosity had gotten the better of me.
The hallway I was walking through seems like it had been abandoned for some time now. The building seemed like it had once looked sleek and modern, but was worn down due to age. The lights were flickering. A few chairs were randomly scattered throughout as I made my way through the long hallway. A painted on sign was on the wall saying 'Cafeteria' . Since I didn't see any other hallways, I decided that this hallway only led to the "cafeteria."
Suddenly, a loud voice was heard from down the hallway. It was very muffled, and I couldn't make out one word, but they sounded beyond pissed.
"Is this some kind of joke," I muttered to myself as I continued down the hallway, turning the corner to see two gigantic double doors. They were at least five times my size, and I could hear the voices coming from inside. Some sounded frantic and scared, and others sounded angry and confused. From those voices, I could make out one in particular. The raspy voice seemed to belong to a male, and it sounded as if he had been screaming for the first ten years of his life non-stop. How annoying it must have been to listen to this dumbass. Thank god I just woke up. "Your lying to me!" I heard the voice shout, and another person calmly replied, but since their voice was quieter, I couldn't hear what they had said.
So your telling me that we're stuck here? Bullshit!" I could hear the distraught and anger in the annoying raspy voice as it grew obnoxiously loud.
After an indeterminate amount of time, the angry voice kept shouting at the calm one, who seemed to be getting more and more agitated as time went on. Finally, I heard the sound of a chair scraping, as if someone had just stood up. I could hear the faint footsteps nearing the door that I was hiding behind, and my heart quickly sped up as I looked around to see in there was anywhere to hide. I only saw the long hallway, no more chairs in sight.
Standing straight up I stepped back, holding my fists up in front of me, ready for a fight. Suddenly, the two large double doors swung open, and I was surprised by what I saw.
