"Tom is coming in soon," Brandon says as I walk in with the kids.
"What?" I ask. "I have the kids with me today."
"I know, I know. I'm sorry," Brandon says. "He called last minute and said he was coming in."
"Well what am I supposed to do with the kids?" I ask. "He hates when I bring the kids to work."
"Do I have to be at the meeting?" Jocie asks.
"No," Brandon says. "It's just about merch."
"Okay, then I will watch them," Jocie says.
"You don't have to," I say. "I can take them to the neighbors house for a little bit."
"No, it's okay," Jocie says. She stands up from her seat, "I got it."
She walks over to us and grabs Abigal out of my arms very gently. I hand her the diaper bag and she puts it on her shoulder.
"Let's go, kiddos," she says with a smile on her face. Hopefully she doesn't mind doing this.
"Thank you," I say.
"Of course."
They walk out of the room and to the lobby of the building. They are probably just going to hang out in the lobby or in one of the extra rooms we have. Hopefully this meeting doesn't take too long.
"Why is he even coming?" I ask.
"Something about merch," Edwin says.
"And tour," Brandon adds.
"What about tour?" I ask as I sit down in my chair. "We haven't even discussed having one yet."
"Who knows," Brandon says.
"I wish he wouldn't plan things last minute like this," I say. "Or else I wouldn't have brought the kids with me."
"Yea," Zion says. "I would still bring them though. Just to piss Tom off even more."
"True," I say.
For some reason Tom always hates when I bring the kids to work. He thinks it's very annoying and he thinks that we don't get anything done.
That's not true though. We get everything down while the kids do their own thing. Plus everyone loves having the kids around, so it's really not that big of a deal.
The door opens up and Tom walks in with his bag and his clipboard in his hands. "Where is your masks?" He asks immediately.
"Not on," Zion says.
"Why?" He asks. "There is a whole ass virus going around. You should be wearing them all the time."
"We live together," Brandon says. "And this is like our home, so we shouldn't have to wear them."
"Well I don't live with you," he says.
"Whatever," I say. "We will put them on." I take mine out of my pocket and I put it on as the boys do the same.
"Good to see you didn't bring your amazing children again," he says to me.
I roll my eyes, "Keep my kids' names out of your mouth."
He chuckles, "I never said their actual names, Nick. Don't get smart with me or I'll get rid of you faster than lightning."
I roll my eyes and mumble, "Yea, whatever."
(Jocie's pov)
"Tag you're it!" Colton yells as he touches Denton on the arm. Colton runs around the table as Denton chases him.
