I honestly can't believe school starts in a couple of days. Summer went by fast, I didn't do anything but make a website for my business.
"MIRACLE, COME HERE" my dumb*** father yelled out. I rolled my eyes knowing that he was either going to beat me or tell me how much of a failure I am.
I left my room and slowly walked down the stairs hoping someone would distract him so he could forget about me. I finally got to the living room where he was laying down on my mom's favorite couch. I guess I always called it that since my dad used to tell me how much time she took to design them. I don't know my mom that well, but I know that she left me.
I am not gonna lie, I am pretty mad about it. Actually I really want to know why she left, I always felt like it was because me and Aniya were not good enough for her.
"Yo, didn't I tell you to clean my room." What surprised me was that he said it really calmly, maybe he is high or something. "I did," I said shyly, looking down at my feet. " Look at me when i'm talking to you." he got up from the couch and smacked me across the face. Tears started swelling in my eyes, I was honestly used to this but I couldn't take it anymore. I have to leave. Me and Aniya need to leave now! I can't live like this anymore. I ran up to Aniya's room and walked right in. She was on her bed watching K,C, undercover on Disney plus. (A.N. Man I love that show!)
"Pack all of your stuff we need to leave!" I said crying. "What happened to your face, did he hit you again." She looked like she was about to cry so I went and gave her a long hug and a kiss in the forehead. " Yes, he did. Don't worry about me, but now we need to pack up so we can leave. I can't stay here anymore." "Can we go to Armani's house?" I had to think about it cause I don't like staying over at other people's homes. It makes me feel like an imposter. (A.N. Have yall played among us, yet!!??) "Yea if he says we can come over."
I went back to my room and started packing all of my clothes, shoes, and hygiene products. I also made sure to grab the secret stash of money I had saved up from my job at Chick-fil-a. I finished packing then I went to Aniya's room to get her but it looked like the little rascal was already down the stairs. So, I walked down and went to put the things in my car. I had a black Toyota Camry but I was saving up for a range rover, cuz you know.
"Where does he live?"
"Aniya, Aniya." I looked over at the passenger seat and the girl was sleep. So, I shook her until she woke up. Lemme tell you the girl looked so scared!!!

<Aniya and Anijah's house>
"Anijah, you aint gotta wake me up like that." I never woke her up like that so I don't know why lil mama getting mad for. "Girl, where does your little boo bop live?" She handed me the phone with the gps on. "He is not my boo, he has a gf," she mumbled the last part. I knew she likes him, what's his name, army, or arny. I don't know but they hung out a lot during the beginning of the summer, but stopped a few weeks ago.
(About 20 minutes later)
We made it to Armani's house (yea you see I learned his name), let me tell you his house looked nice.

We parked and got out to get all of her stuff that was in the backseat and trunk. We both walked up to the front door. I looked over at Aniya signaling for her to ring the bell, cause I was not about to do it. She rang the bell and Armani came to open the door. He had on a big a** smile on and he went ahead and hugged Aniya real tight. I stood there looking at the two, they would make a great couple, but that is none of my business. He then looked at me and gave me a hug and I returned it.
My anxiety was not acting up, since I took my pills. Armani led us inside and brought us to the living room where I saw this fine dark skinned boy who looked around 18 playing 2k20. I guess he heard us cause he paused the game and looked up at us. Now, I am nervous, I didn't know Armani had a brother.
"That's Devante, my brother. He doesn't like talking to new people so if he talks to y'all he must be smoking something," Armani said laughing.
I looked at him straight faced. Anyways, Armani showed us to the guest room. The room was pretty big, with light blue walls. I opened my suitcase and took out an outfit I would wear tomorrow, since Aniya and I have yet to go school supply shopping. I looked in the mirror and took my makeup off, the mark was still on my face. But, it was time for me to sleep so I took a shower and went to bed.
