                                                                            Malachi's POV

Malachi crumpled the note, threw it in the trash and got dressed.

He stepped out of his room and ran right into Ash.

"Whoa, Malachi, buddy. Where's the fire?"

Malachi sighed.

He really didn't want to deal with Ash right now.

Malachi was trying not to think back to last night, but his mind kept flashing back to the angel.

That wasn't real though.

We didn't have sex.

It was just a dream.

A fantasy, really.

So, why do I want to go back to it?

Because I know that the real angel could never be attracted to me.

I am a horrible person.

There is no way that a woman that sweet and innocent would want to be with me.

The muse said that the angel would have a sex dream too.

He doubted that the person that she thought about would be him.

Malachi tried to shake himself out of the melancholy thoughts that he was having.

Ash snapped his fingers in front of Malachi.

"Earth to Malachi. Dude, what's with you?"

He looked at Ash and groaned.

"I don't want to do anything today, Ash."

Ash sighed.

"Why not, Malachi?"

He shook his head.

"I feel like I am losing my mind."

Malachi felt a hand on his shoulder.

He jumped.

Ash took his hand off.

"Wow. You are really skittish today, Malachi."

He put his head in his hands and took deep breaths.

Malachi closed his eyes and the beautiful angel was there.

She winked at him.

"You know you want me, Malachi. Don't fight the attraction."

He opened his eyes and screamed loudly.

Ash looked at him like he was nuts.

Maybe Malachi was, though.

Why was he attracted to the angel?

She was annoying and yet beautiful in a traditional way.

"I need to get out of here, Ash."

Ash seemed to understand that Malachi needed his space because he put his hands up in surrender.

"Where are you going to go then? Are you going to annoy the humans today? Or are you going to let that angel stop you?"

He felt anger well up in him.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!"

Malachi shouted so loud, that he felt like Hell was shaking.

Ash looked scared of him.

"Okay, Malachi. Relax."

Then Ash's facial expression changed to disbelief.

"Wait. Do you like the angel? Is that why you are screaming at me? I didn't think that I would see the day that the big bad Malachi actually cared about anyone, let alone an angel."

Malachi growled at him.

"I'm leaving."

As he was getting ready to snap his fingers, Malachi heard Ash say

"Well, that wasn't a no."

Malachi snapped his fingers and closed his eyes.

When he opened them, he realized that he was in the alley where he met the angel a few days ago.

Fuck.

Malachi walked past the alley and saw a homeless shelter.

He strolled towards it and saw the beautiful angel serving soup for an old man.
I knew that she was a goody-two-shoes.

Wait.

What's with her hair?

Her hair was tousled, like she had fucked someone.

She looks so sexy.

No.

I need to walk away from this.

Before Malachi could do that, she looked right at him with her cheeks flushed.

Did she think of me when the muse came?

No.

There is no way.

Then, why does she look embarrassed?

I am so screwed.
