Chapter 5 ( edited )편집

• Kim Aera •

Aera kept thinking all the evidence over. But nothing really led to any clear lead, all they had was criminal doings in general but no one was willing to talk. This Jin guy had more to hide, which was very obvious and Kai and Natalie definitely knew some things too. Sure she could get into deep shit for keeping her investigation going but this was her first real case and they would never going to get a lead like this one again. Like a leak in a well oiled machine, but sooner or later the black fox clan was going to close the leakage and that meant a sweep up, which might include getting rid of any loose ends as Jimin had said.

Jimin...

He was like a piece of a puzzle, but the brunette couldn't quite figure out where to place him. One thing she was sure off was that Jimin delivered the money in the food boxes, however how much he knew beyond that wasn't clear.

But another thing that was weird was that Kai had said before she left the strip club. She shouldn't trust Yoongi. She didn't know to what extend he had meant that. Yoongi did know a lot of people that were far from innocent. His old friend Joon. This Hoseok guy who was all too chummy with him... But Aera couldn't really see any thread that would lead to Yoongi either.

Aera heard her alarm clock going off which she shut up with a slam of her hand.

6.30.

Still all these thoughts floating through her head she went into the shower letting the warm water wash over her and maybe wake her up a little bit. Like every morning she drank a cup of black coffee before heading out to the precinct.

...

The precinct was already fairly busy, detectives bringing people in and out and phones ringing. Everything went on as normal. Here he was sitting at his desk filling out reports again. Yoongi had ignored her as she walked past his desk to her own office. She needed to talk to him, even to bury the hatchet, or maybe aswell to find out what the elders link is to this. His phone buzzed. A text has come.

Jimin

Good morning detective

Aera

Jimin is something wrong?

Aera was already ready to grab her keys and run to him when her phone buzzed with Jimin's reply.

Jimin

Calm down detective I am fine...

I just wanted to tell you I am fine, figured you'd appreciate my update

Didn't get chopped up in my sleep or have weights attached to my legs and was thrown in the Han river

Aera

Don't joke about that.

I am glad you are fine

Jimin

Ever heard of this kids rhyme...

Here comes the candle to light you to bed, here comes the chopper to chop off your head chop chop chop

Aera

You really have a bad sense of humor

Jimin

Or you can't take a joke

anyway get back to your detective duties Aera-ah

Aera
