As we walked down the stairs, I could feel Ryan's breathing became faster which indicated he was worried about something.
"Where are you taking me to?" I asked.
"Shh!" Ryan shushed me. He pressed his supple fingers vertically against my lips. Such a sensual moment it was!
A few moments later, he removed my blindfold. I was amazed!
An open roof asymmetric Mandap(Pavilion where Hindus take their marriage vows) covered with vibrant coloured flowers.
I was so surprised, unimaginably happy and overwhelmed that I started crying to help get those emotions out all at once. I felt like the luckiest person alive. All my dreams were reality now. I couldn't thank God enough for this.
As I took my eyes off the gorgeous wedding set up, I looked at Ryan. He was wearing an astoundingly beautiful white 'Sherwani'. He clasped my hands and ushered me to the Mandap.
We took the marriage vows. I was finally married to the love of my life- Ryan. I was so happy that I did not realise that I do not even know "the love of my life's" surname!
As we took our 'phere'(seven rounds around a sacred fire lit for the purpose amidst the Vedic mantras), my heart was fluttering. Unknown faces cheered us up and tossed flower petals. I guesstimated they were Ryan's friends and family.
