-Six's Confession-
It was a quiet and cloudy afternoon in Numberland's forests. 6 stood leaning against a tree, listening to the sounds of the forest behind her while absentmindedly throwing her dice around. She had brought her favorite game—snakes and ladders—with her but she wasn't in the mood for a game.

6 isn't usually like this; it's just that the weather and ambience of the forest made her relaxed so she decided to just rest for today. One thing that also affected her.. she just realized she fell for 8, and was currently thinking if she should say it to him..
What if he doesn't like me back?..

6 was pulled back to reality when she heard gentle but fast footsteps approaching her—it was 8. 6 could hear him say "Annoying rain.." He sat right next to her and panted, out of breath. 6 looked up; it was now raining.
"Oh, hi 6."
"Hi.. so, what brings you here?"
"I was just walking in the forest earlier. I ended up here when it started raining and just ran here."
"Okay. Hope you didn't get too wet."
Wow, 6 stopped rhyming her words for the first time, thought 8.
They both stared at the ground for a while, listening to the pitter-patter of the rain when 8 noticed 6 brought a game with her.

"Oh, I see you brought a game. Your favorite one, right?" He looked at her smiling, pointing one tentacle to the board game beside her.
Staring into 8's eyes, she didn't know why but she told herself this was a perfect chance.. And without thinking, out came the words
"IlovyouIwannabewithyouforlifeandibroughtthisgameforyouwannaplay?"
That was so stupid, 6! She told herself.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch that." Said 8, chuckling.
"I-I just asked if you want to play it."
"Sure, I'll be pink."
"A-Alright, I'll be purple."

6 took out the plastic board from the box and laid it on the moist grass. She placed the purple and pink ones on the 1st square then they started playing. The rain was continuous, the flowers behind them colorful, and it was just the 2 of them under this canopy of trees today. Quite the setting for a confession to say the least, thought 6. She suddenly got lost in trying to think of what to say and was moving her purple piece towards the pink one which was 9 squares ahead (she had rolled a 3).

"Hello, 6? Are you in there?" Asked 8, waving his tentacles at her. "You just moved your piece 9 squares and you know really well there are only 6 sides on a dice—"
"I've always liked you." 6 let her mouth loose again. She covered her mouth in her hands in embarrassment. "That-that was an accident—"

"Well, I like you too."
"Y-you do..?"
"Yeah."
At that moment, the game had been forgotten. They had just confessed to each other.
"I'm glad you feel the same way but.."
"But?"
"I'm scared."
"Well.. I think I heard someone that love is.. like a game. A fun one. And I know you like games."
"But love.. this game.. comes at a risk.. it's the only game I don't want to play but I ended up making the first move.."
"What risks?"
"Risks of it going wrong.." 6 stared at the ground.
"Hmm, doesn't every game have a risk?"
"I-I guess so but—"
"Don't worry," Said 8, holding her hand. "I'll be there for you the whole way."
"Really..?"
"Really."
