When They Met

-Author's notes: The characters are all in their block forms and this story is inspired by Infiniteinsanitypit's book titled "Welcome To A New World".

-When They Met-
-present time-
It was a usual day in Alphaland—well, not exactly. Everyone was learning how to play instruments and it was extra noisy. B and D had been planning to write a song, but how were they going to do it with all this noise?
"Dh, We definitely need a quiet place do do our practice, away from all this discord."
"But where?"
"Let's find a spot, c'mon!" Said D, standing up. B followed behind him.

After around 10 minutes or so, B realized she was just following her brother, and she wasn't sure he knew where they were going.
"Wait brother, do you know where you're going?"
"Yeah, I've been to this place before." Said D, shrugging it off. "It's nice and quiet and it's basically a perfect spot. It's even near the beach! Ah, we're here!"

They had arrived. An open temple-like structure stood in the sand close to the water. Not far from it was a metal gong, which made the whole place look like some sort of meditation area.
"Well it doesn't really look like a place to practice, but it's decent enough isn't it?"
"Yeah! Let's practice brother!"
"Wait.."

-1 minute earlier, somewhere in numberland-
"You are going with me. We're going to practice the art of meditation as super rectangles. You barely practice that anymore!" Said 12 to her brother 18, urging him to come.
"Awww, fine. But, we get to race there. Deal?" Said 18, smirking because he knew he would win.
"Oh, alright."
They hovered over the grass, making sure they were even. Then they counted down.
"3.. 2.. 1.."

-present time, at the 'temple'-
"What do you mean 'wait'?"
"I forgot my drum set!"
".. And I forgot my bass! Oh well.. It's not like we can carry a whole drum set and bass on our backs."
"Hey. Hey, D, what's that?" B pointed to 2 unclear figures coming at them at an incredibly high speed. Wait, an an incredibly high speed?!
"I don't know but we better duck!" Shouted D. They ducked low as two rectangular blocks dashed above them leaving green and purple trails. They stood up cautiously and looked at these 'blocks'..
"Who.. who are you? You don't look like Alphablocks." Said D, with B hiding behind him.
"Umm.. We're Numberblocks.. Living numbers 12 and 18. And you're living letters, judging by the name 'Alphablocks'." Said 18.
"Woah.. Brother, we just discovered another block type! I thought we were the only ones!" Exclaimed B, coming out of her hiding spot.
"Me too!" Said 12 and 18 in unison.
"Are there other numbers?"
"Of course there are! Can you show us the other Alphablocks after?" Said 18 excitedly.
"Yeah!"
They went to see Blockzilla (who they ran from at first) and played with her upon seeing that she's friendly. Then along with some other Numberblocks, they climbed up Blocky Mountain to see Big Tum (who they ran from as well) and a few Numberblocks demonstrated being swallowed whole and being 'spat back up in one piece' (which they found disturbing). They made friends with some Fluffies and met other Numberblocks on the way out of Numberland as well!

Once they got back to Alphaland, they were so excited to tell them what happened. They both knew this was a revolutionary moment for Alphablocks and Numberblocks alike.
"You guys are not going to believe this..!"
