That Time I Was Reincarnated as Jaune Arc

Chapter 2

In the morning we were told to gather our combat gear and meet on the cliff overlooking the Emerald Forest. As I walk up and down the rows of lockers trying to find the one housing my weaponry, I notice the girl in white from yesterday talking to a tall redhead. I decide to introduce myself to the pair.

"Hey, I'm Jaune, Jaune Arc. I guess we'll be training together over the next four years."

"Um, excuse you, we were having a conversation." The girl in white looks annoyed at my interruption. I remember Jaune coming in at this point but maybe I should have waited.

"Nonsense, we should welcome our fellow classmates. What if I had had that attitude when you walked up to me. I'm Pyrrha Nikos." Of course, I knew Pyrrha fairly well from watching the show, Weiss too, but I have to make sure I keep up the façade for the sake of the continuity.

"You're too nice Pyrrha. We shouldn't have to lower ourselves for the common people. He probably recognized us and wanted to make a move on us." Weiss shot me a look that could've killed, and she probably wouldn't have minded if it did.

"Common people? You must be our resident heiress Weiss Schnee."

"See he knew us already." Weiss seems satisfied with herself at that observation.

"I'll admit, I knew a bit more than I let on, but I didn't mean to offend. I just wanted to be friendly. Make new friends, heck, we could even be partners."

"As if." Weiss seems more offended by the thought of being my partner than the fact that I interrupted them. "You wish you could have Pyrrha as a partner, but (if all goes according to plan) she will be my partner." She folds her arms and bounces on her toes as if that were that.

"We'll see, I'm sure you'll make a fine partner for whoever you get Jaune. I expect us all to work our best no matter what." Pyrrha was as sweet as ever trying to diffuse the situation.

"As will you Pyrrha, well I should get my sword. We have a big day ahead of us. Good luck girls, I'm sure we'll all need it." I turn and start making my way towards my locker. If things go as fate decides we will need some luck, and a lot of skill.
