2 His daughter

'And now Lelia Snape.' It gets awfully quiet and I can hear a few people gasp when Dumbledore says my last name. I can feel my heart pounding in my chest when I walk towards the sorting hat. When I sit down Dumbledore puts the hat on my head and it starts talking; 'Ahh Snape, I was already expecting you to come this year. Let's see... Brave, not afraid to stand up for yourself or others. A kind heart, trying to never hurt anyone. Smart, always knowing the right thing to do and even ambitious, never giving up. You fit in all the houses, but which house do you want to be in?' When the hat asks the last question a few people start to whisper. I was shocked, he literally just asked me which house I wanted to be in! Is this normal? 

'Well,' I start. The decision wasn't too hard though. I always wanted to be a Slytherin following my dads footsteps, and after Claire getting in Slytherin to, I didn't need a lot of time to think. 'Slytherin' I say looking at Claire and she smiles. 'Then Slytherin it is.' As I walk to the table every Slytherin start cheering and even yell my name except for one boy with platinum blonde hair who just glares at me with a look of disgust. I sit down next to Claire and she immediately pulls me into a hug. 'You made quite an impression Lelia,' she chuckles. I laugh at her joke and say 'I don't care, I'm just glad we are in the same house together.'

'Let the feast begin!' Dumbledore yells and the food appears on the tables. As we eat the girl sitting on my other side says; 'Hi, my name is Lily.' 'Hi, my name is-' I answer, but she cuts me off. 'Yea, I know,' she chuckles, but I just look at her confused. 'You know you are the first person ever to fit in all the houses. I don't think people will forget your name anytime soon,' she explains. 'But I have one burning question I just need to ask,' she continues. 'Ask me anything,' I respond. 'Are you really like... professor Snape his daughter?' I was prepared for this question. 'Well, I hope so, otherwise I have lived with a stranger for the past 11 years,' I joke. She laughs. Claire joins the conversation and we talk till the end of  the diner.

'Wow...' We are standing in the Slytherin common room. After dinner we followed the prefects to the dungeon where the common room was. They told us the password and we walked in. The common room was dark and very detailed. There was a fireplace in the center of the room with three couches around it and a lot of desks and tables with green lamps on it. 'Come on let's go to check out our dorms,' Lily says. We walk upstairs and find out we all share a dorm together with two other girls. Our stuff was already on our beds so all we had to do was unpack. When we are done we walk down to the common room again. We talk a little while we sit next to the fireplace. 

After a while Claire and Lily decide to sleep. I stay for while reading a book. The common room starts to empty, but I was caught up in my book so I didn't notice it until I hear some say something behind me. 'So it's true. The baby of professor Snape is at Hogwarts?' I look up from my book and see the common room almost empty and behind me there are three boys. One of them is tall and has little curls on his head, the other is short and the boy with platinum blonde hair from the grand hall. They were smirking at me and I felt irritation building up in my stomach. 'What do you want?' I ask calmly with a small smile, but I know they are not up to any good. The smirk on the boy with platinum blond hair disappears when he sees me smile and he walks to the other side of the couch. 'Listen Snape, do not think I will go easy on you because of your dad. So watch your back.' His grey eyes sting in mine, he tucks his hair behind his ear and walks away with the two other boys following him. I sigh and grab my stuff. 'Great and of the day...' I mumble and walk upstairs to my dorm.
