Cold Alpha And His Fearful Omega

Chapter 1- Part 3

    Jason keeps going back to how he smells. His scent is better than any other omega, how can it be so...perfect? On the other hand Lilith is just confused. Why would Jason act like that, and hug me too??? Lilith just gets more confused and concerned the more he thinks about it. Finally that thought pops up again. Maybe he likes me.

    Lilith finishes eating and decided that he should go to the arcade, his favorite place in the entire world, so he can get his head off of all of this craziness. Lilith leaves his room with the route to his destination memorized. Moments before Lilith leaves his own room though, Jason is leaving his. Jason realized he 'forgot' to lock his door a little bit after Lilith left his room. As he heads back he 'accidentally' bumps into Lilith, who gets out of the way almost immediately.

    "Sorry." Jason looks at Lilith noticing he is blushing quite a bit. "I-I-its okay" As Jason is passing by, his hand touches Lilith's. A slight shock goes through both of them that causes everything to suddenly become hyper sensitive. Jason is a bit surprised but very pleased that his theory was right and he quickly leaves. Lilith is left there confused and conflicted as he was never taught about mates and the affects they have on each other. "What just happened?..." 

     Lilith decides it would be better to grab some tea before he heads to play games since really needs to stop and think now. Jason on the other hand only has one thing going through his mind. MY Mate. Jason quickly goes to his room, hundreds on hundreds of pictures of Lilith line the walls. He quickly takes them down, knowing Lilith is going to be in there and on his bed soon. Once he finishes he follows Lilith's scent to the cafe, getting himself a large coffee to seem inconspicuous.

     Lilith sits at the window seat, softly sipping on gray tea, trying to get his mind straight. He needed to figure out what was going on and it wasn't clicking to him. Jason finally finds where he was seated although it wasn't that hard. He gets up and pushes through everyone to get to his mate. Lilith is so off in his own world that he doesn't notice Jason or the crowed forming. When Jason finally gets close enough he softly grabs his hand. Lilith finally notices the scene going on and looks at him like a little deer in the headlights.

     "Mate." One simple world is all he said. Everyone else in the room finally understands what's going on, unlike Lilith. He was homeschooled until college (which he only had 4 years of). He had been frightened by alphas. they would always pick on him and beat him up. So many scars covered his body because of the cruel alphas, but it wasn't as bad as the emotional damage. Since he was so scared his parents decided not to teach him about mates or soulmates, as not to scar their poor child.

    "Wh-what's going on?" Lilith's voice is smaller and meeker than normal. Jason's eyes are darker than usual and his breathing is labored. As if he didn't hear him, Jason picks up Lilith and starts to take him home. The whole way Lilith is watching Jason while wondering what is going on and why Jason was doing this. Jason was growling, snarling, and glaring at anyone who even looks at Lilith, his lion in him ready to absolutely destroy the other alphas in the area. 

     Once they get to the apartment building Jason quickly gets them in and gently puts Lilith on the bed. He curls into himself, not knowing what is going on and just wanting everything to go back to normal. "J-Jason?" He kisses all over Lilith's face repeatedly saying "Mine, My Mate." Jason was so caught up in the adrenaline of being with his mate he just didn't hear the frightened omega. Lilith huddles into a ball terrified. confused. and wanting to run away. "Mate? Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?" Jason starts dotting on the distressed omega. Lilith looks at him slightly teary eyed.

    "W-what's going on?" Jason looks at him with curious eyes. "You're my mate. My other half." Jason says this with the most certainty, like it's the most obvious thing in the world only making Lilith more confused than before. "Wh-what's a mate?"
