Chapter 12

 Lukes POV:

 “wake up guys, it’s a new day,” mum screamed early in the morning. Cara was asleep next to me snoring away while I was being blinded by the sunlight. After pulling the curtains far enough, mum realises that I’m awake.

“Luke, you’re awake be a darling and wake up Cara, she has a visitor downstairs.”

“Ok mum but please try not to blind me next time you wake me up.” She comes up to me and kisses me on the forehead.

 "It’s the only way to wake you up these days,” she said grinning before she goes downstairs. I love my mum to bits. I know teenagers aren’t supposed to like teenagers but I love mine. She lets me make my own mistakes and always encourages me, the best you could ever wish for in a mum. This always makes me smile in the morning.

"Cara, wakey-wakey.”

“What, leave me alone wake me up when its morning.”

“Ill prove to its morning.” I pulled open her eyes with 2 of my fingers until she got blinded by the sun.

“Alright, I awake now,” she cried.

"Come on, we’ve got to get downstairs, mum said that someone wants to see you.”

"“To see me, okay let me go and brush my teeth.”

Today I discovered that brushing your teeth takes 30 minutes not 5 and then when done so you come out looking stunning because that’s what happened to Cara.

 “Wow you look Erm…,”I stuttered.

 “You’re speechless, that’s cute, and I know I look stunning but I needed a second opinion to get me motivated.”

Honestly, her self-confidence has hit the 7th heaven plus her selfishness. This is the Cara I missed.

"“Come on, isn’t there isn’t someone I need to attend to.”

 She grabbed my arm and dragged me downstairs where I bumped my head on multiple occasions.

When we reached downstairs, I saw a shadow in the hallway who had a curvy shape. Someone that I recognised very well.

"That bitch,”I muttered.

“What was that Luke?”

“Look in front of you.” I didn’t even have to turn my head to know that she had looked in front because she was speechless.

“Mother, “she said.
