Chapter two

Thalia POV:

The chat was quiet today, a few messages asking if any one was on xbox from Maria, followed by a few messages from the girls saying they were out or busy with their parents etc. I didn't own an xbox, it wasn't my scene, nor did I have the time for it, I was more into gymnastics, trying to gain skills and perfect my tumbles for a competition in February. With it being October, I still had plenty of time but I was eager to be the best I could for my first county competition. Currently I trained 3 nights a week as I only began this sport a few months ago, it took a while to convince my mum who was so set on me continuing ballet but it wasn't for me anymore .

It was a Tuesday night, which meant I had training from 6 pm till 8 pm, a light session but still an important one. I put on my navy training leotard and nike pro shorts before throwing my club's tracksuit over the top in order to stay warm for the journey there. My mum dropped me off at the training centre and I went in and greeted my friends. The team began warming u before repetitions of skills to practise grooving the basics.

We trained solidly before finishing off with conditioning, overall a very productive session. I said goodbye to my friends and coaches and walked down to meet my mum in the car. I greeted her and she asked hw the session went, we briefly discussed how it went before I checked my phone. I was shocked to find 43 new notifications from 'the girlies' group chat.

It was never this active... what was going on?

When I got home I sat down with my dinner and had a read of the chat, something about Maria getting a new boyfriend, Ellie unlocking something on xbox but i couldn't keep up so i settled with messaging the chat.

'Hey guys, did i miss anything? Xx'

I came back to Maria introducing Ewan, her new man she'd met on xbox, but by the time I'd checked this reply I'd just got out the shower and they were now saying about school or some sorts. Tilly had asked if anyone had done the work set today. I messaged back saying

'Yea i got it done when i got home today'

A few seconds later I was met with

'Teachers pet ' from Ewan which was rather surprising considering I'd never spoken to the guy before.

The rest of the evening i spent packing for school the next day and winding down ready to sleep as the chat went back to the world of xbox.
